Hi, i would like to mine Digibyte solo.
I am struggling to go about doing this.
I have basic general knowledge on how to solo mine, and i have managed to mine Bitsend before.

I have tried CGMINER and SGMINER:

my conf file is like so: digibyte.conf (in my wallet/blocklchain folder) not in the %APPDATA% area, there was no Digibyte folder there.

rpcuser=digiuser
rpcpassword=digipass
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
rpcport=14022
p2pport=12024
daemon=1
server=1
listen=1
gen=0
#algo=scrypt
#algo=sha256d
#algo=groestl
#algo=qubit
algo=skein
addnode=74.208.230.160
addnode=31.220.25.91
addnode=184.155.218.183
addnode=24.119.23.61
addnode=70.196.193.231

My command/s are as follows:   (Cgminer version is    -  3.7.3)
cgminer --skein -o 127.0.0.1:14022 -u digiuser -p digipass --verbose

It doesnt start mining, i dont understand why   (i have also tried to add http:// to the front of 127.0.0.1:port but it doesnt work)

[15:44:32] HTTP request failed: The requested URL returned error: 401
[15:44:32] HTTP request failed: The requested URL returned error: 401
[15:44:32] JSON decode failed(1): '[' or '{' expected near 'HTTP'
[15:44:32] JSON decode failed(1): '[' or '{' expected near 'HTTP'

I have just tried exactly "cgminer --skein -o http://127.0.0.1:14022 -u digiuser -p digipass --verbose"

It too did not work:

It does not carry onto the stats screen how the hell does this work.
Pool mining is fine.

what am i doing wrong.

I have now even tried sgminer using command :

sgminer -k skeincoin -o 127.0.0.1:14022 -u digiuser -p digipass --verbose

I have tried http://127.0.0.1:14022 and even just as in the command , it doesnt not freeknig work, this is like rocket science

Yes my wallet is running
and if i do a netstat -a and find 14022 it is listening, so i dont understand this , ffs

The Bitcoin software, network, and concept is called "Bitcoin" with a capitalized "B". Bitcoin currency units are called "bitcoins" with a lowercase "b" -- this is often abbreviated BTC.

You need to specify the rpc server IP in the configuration file with rpcconnect. That is the IP address you need to use with the miner.  e.g. to mine to the wallet running on your local machine use rpcconnect=127.0.0.1. The rpcallowip parameter are the IP's that are allowed to connect to the rpc server. To allow a single IP from your LAN, use your machines LAN IP. To get the LAN IP of the machine type ipconfig in the Windows command prompt and look for the IPv4 address. e.g rpcallowip=192.168.0.01. Cgminer is a Scrypt and SHA256d miner only. You need to use Sgminer to mine skein coins.

Hi,

Dam man, i really hope rpcconnect=127.0.0.1 is the entry i am missing?
or like you say i can use my ip address instead / OR ?

Also, cgminer i have has a -qubit and -skein option in it so it does allow those algorithms ...
I do successfully manage to mine against a digibyte pool such as "dgb.miningfield.com"

if i use SGminer , do i type --algo=Skein or --algo-SkeinCoin or --algo=skein or --algo=skeincoin  or is it -k skein or -k skeincoin , this is the problem i have with SGminer or CGminer is that they dont explain what algorithm options there are. CCminer is so much more better as well as any CPUMiner where they at least lost the Algorithms when you type {miner.exe} --help

Anyways thanks for your help , i will let you know how it goes and please send me your address so i can donate to you.

I inserted  rpcconnect=192.168.1.10
and then ran:
cgminer --skein -o http://127.0.0.1:14022 -u digiuser -p digipass --verbose

no go , the same stupid issue:

i still get this crap:

:04:41] Press any key to exit, or cgminer will try again in 15s.

Not sure if this is a miss leading error or what the hell is going on

Hi, did you get this to work? If so, what pool did you use? I am trying to mine DidigByte for a friend, and we are open to setup our own server, but it have to be solo pool. We are running 100 units Antminer S9.
Any tips and help would be appreciated.
Have a nice evening, regards Jan
