What kind of worst decisions do you take when trading?

The worst decision I made is to invest in ICO's. Some of them have me profit but loss is more than what I have earned from them so I have made a decision of not investing in ICO's until it is backed up by a good community and has a future.

This is exactly what i experience buying ICO's gaining good profit but in the end losing a lot in ICO's that is why i stop investing in new altcoin because i think they are just the same as pyramid scheme.. and some of the other ICO are just use just to pump the price of other altcoin..
So for now i changed my strategy i am now choosing the top 20 altcoin where those coin can stay for too long and you can be still holding them for a long time and wait for the price increase back again and gaining a real profit..
The majority of my coins are litecoin xmr ethereum those are the best to me to hold because of the movement of the price even its not fast movement i still waiting for a long time and wait for the price increased before i sell and make profit..

The worst decision I made was when a friend of mine said that FDLC will pump that week, so here I am trusting him that it'll pump. What I did was I bet most of my money on FDLC (so wrong), then was waiting for until dawn, a day then a day went to two days then it turned into a week and it didn't pump at all it even dumped. The coins we have will always pump and dump because it's the nature of cryptocurrency and therefore we should wait for the right timing to buy and sell in order to make profit. Never regret when you sold your coins as long as you did it for profit, the price may dump therefore patience is necessary to sell when its back up again.

In earlier stages,due to FOMO,on seeing the sudden rise of price in altcoins,i would immediately buy that coin thinking that it would increase more.But i was not aware that the coin is being pumped.Immediately,its price would start falling due to dumping and due to panic,i would try to sell it and end up with huge loss by selling it at very low price.

If the loss is just about 50% then don't consider as worst loss. That's the time it will test how good you are handling your portfolios. Don't ever sold during bearish market. It's like selling thru dips instead of buying it.

People have an option to buy again at those dips and just hold those who coins who are already on reds. Somehow even it will not reached again their selling rate at least closer than that. Patience is always the key.

I think it is not the right time to invest into any of the crypto currency, it is just a personal opinion I may not be right all of the time, but I am smelling things at the moment that the prices will go down more even. If you have holdings then no need to get panic I will suggest to convert them into the bitcoin and the bitcoin price will once again boom in the next three months.

yes people buy and hold bitcoin to get some profit not loss all the time they spend their investment on it and I suppose the worst decision one make in trading is to hold your bitcoin for long term and then sell it on a loss I can imagine how difficult it could be to hold when your investment is under risk. So we should wait for right time.

MACD is really a good technical tool but it wont work anytime here on this cryptoworld.We do have really in common mistakes for us traders. My worst decision to make is when i do make a panic sell when i saw the coins i bought was dropping and i dont have dont choice but to cut losses,i know it sucks but this thing is really common among newbie traders.

Technical analysis is not really the appropriate tool to apply in many of the coins, maybe you can use it in bitcoin or Ethereum but it is not really the right tool for something like coins with very low market cap that can easily be manipulated by the whales.

Technical analysis can help you visualize the market with a simple picture demonstrates the psychology of investors, when trading with crypto have high amplitude fluctuations as ETH and BTC, you need usually check the chart and keep calm when making the decision if not want take loss, the whale just create wave for pig and chicken surf it

That's fine, everyone makes mistakes and sometimes more worst than you did. From your post, I can said you're wrong read indicator. MACD is more powerful when you use long time period ( h4, day, week, month ), manage your money with martiangle strategy and try again. Don't forget your stop loss and take profit. My biggest mistake on trading is just one, I always hold when the price still not reaches the buy area. Sometimes the price never been there and hold more longer make me panic sell. For me  the worst thing I did in trading when Iset the sell order I late notice that my sell order is missing one zero when I check it I'll already sell my coin  . And that's means lost for me. And another one is not buying eth when I have time to buy it cheap and now the price is skyrocketing.

I currently trade my tokens into eth, I don't know if it is a good decision because Bitcoin will split after a moment. I don't know if my Bitcoin will appear in my wallet. My worst moment and wrong decision is to sell my coins at the lowest price then after a minute, the price recover. I lost a lot of money!

I also think that it is also a bad decision to sell your coins if you don’t need some money. I have heard that holding coins are better than selling it and another said that use your coins to invest for other coins.

Recently, I had sold my coins that I have earned from an altcoin and because I am a newbie trader, when I learned that its price can reach up to 0.001 BTC, I was really disappointed because I have sold it at 0.0003 BTC only. Huge difference right? What I learned from that is to observe first the previous market price.

Worst decision is not selling and investing in a Unknown coins without any forum or information background in a coin , This coins are called "Scam Coins" most of the time.
