Hi, I made the splash and tried bitcoin mining. I have with me 2 Antminer S9 (12TH each) with a combined PSU of 2.8kw. I have couple of questions po:
  • electricity-aside how much possible coin in a month with antpool
  • most likely, ilang THs needed to get a coin in a month

Thank you po

You can use those mining calculators, just look for them, there is one from bitcoinwisdom I think.

But, electricity can not be set aside. You have to pay for electricity, or someone else does. If that someone else does not know about it, that can be considered as theft. If you have to buy solar panels or windmills, then that is another cost for you to buy up front.

You need 90 THs to get 1 BTC in a month. Next month, you will need much more depending on how much higher the difficulty gets.

Hash rate: 12 TH/s

BTC/block reward: 12.5

Pool fees: 2.5% (AntPool PPS)

Power consumption (Watts): 1225W (12.5 TH/s)

Power Cost (USD/kWh): 0.10$/kWh (average electricity cost)

___________________________________________________________

= 0.00444558 per day / 0.03111908 per wk / 0.13336752 per month
