Yes L3+ can mine any Scrypt coin, but you can "mine" bitcoin with it too. (Via Nicehash, you rent out your hashing power and they pay you in BTC), recently bought 2 L3+ and I am planning on doing that (haven´t received them yet).
The revenue you get from them is better if you mine an altcoin directly and sell it, but it is so much more convinient if you mine via Nicehash.
