We have to accept the truth and we should be very practical as every incident in our life give us a lessons it depends whether it is big lesson or small lesson. We cannot say that Gambling only will give lesson in life. Gambling give lesson when we are in lose and panic during lose and take the wrong decision which completely collapse our whole life system to come out of that situation very complicated situation and some time we dump ourself in that position itself that time this world will show you the real face of fact.

Wow 20k in one month is very big dude and I am sorry for your loss I think you already learned your lessons and its a good decision to never ever gamble again. Its good that you did not think about chasing your loss and try to win back that 20k because if you did you might lose more.

Is that 20k in Dollars or other currency? Indeed it is huge amount if it is in Dollars but might be just small amount in other currency. Gambling teaches me how to have better money management, to control greed, and how to deal with a condition (whether win or lose).

Of course gambling can, will and alot of the times give people life lessons.  Like many other activities in an individuals life, the need to reflection is very important otherwise you just go through life without learning from experience.  I think with gambling, one must already have specific life lessons like discipline, knowing one's limit, when to count your losses or gains and move one etc.  While gambling can obviously be very profitable for some, it certainly isn't for everyone.  Just my humble opinion.

As you said about gambling loses they must addicted gamblers. But i never see any gambler lose his wive in gambling. It is surprising news for me. But i hear it in most of the causes that addicted gamblers have lost their houses and properties, that's why their families left them. And it is a big lesson for addicted gamblers, but they can't understand it becasue they have no quality to understand it and learn the lesson.
