Hey guys,

I'm trying to get into mining Ethereum but unavailability of RX cards is making it really hard. I managed to get my paws on two RX480s but I wish to make at least one or two 6 card rigs. Obvious alternative was GTX 1070 but they got ridiculously expensive overnight where i live so I started exploring GTX 1060. Problem for newbie like me is that there is very little information about setting up GTX 1060 proper way to get max out of it, so I got few questions.

Is it worth getting GTX 1060 for mining Ether?
What is hash rate for Ether? Anyone has experience with Asus Strix GTX 1060 O6GB Gaming?
Can GTX 1060 dual-mine?
What is best miner for it?
Are there some bios mods for it and suggested O.C/Voltage settings?

Thanks!

Edit: Since single GTX 1060 is pushing to 120W max will good 750W PSU be enough for 6 car rig or I should stick with 1000W PSU?

Hy,

I mine on nicehash with  Gigabyte 1060 6gb g1 gaming where I get around 205 mh/s. I believe it's a good entry card. For the bios mods question...I search but find nothing. Better use a good PSU 1200W for 6 cards.

You should get more profit from skein currently.

Easier maybe, but not better, safer or more profitable.

For example, if you don't want to trade yourself, just enable auto exchange when mining at miningpoolhub and set it to automatically send BTC to your wallet. You get paid more than with Nicehash and you get paid more often.

don't mine ETH with nvidia that is amd territory, mine skein or bitcore or lbry or zcash they are far more profitable than ETH, you should make $100 a month with a 1060 mining one of those coin
