Something with no max supply and inflating for ever is supposed to be good for long term? What is next Tether also good long term investment? Eth 2.0 was promised to be implemented on 30 January 2017 now 12 July 2020, 1260 days later nothing, promises ............. 1260 days and counting is well within scam territory.  Edit: Lets look at hard core facts. Peercoin has been staking since 2012 at a 1% reward. Ethereum can never be scam, Ethereum had grown beyond scamming, Ethereum has one of the largest cryptocurrency community, Alot of people believes in ethereum, Infact alot of projects are coming up under ethereum on daily basis. Ethereum is a very good coin to hold with zero fear.

I'm surprised with your question. Ethereum is not scam. There may be negative news about ethereum because of scam projects and hyip using ethereum. It's better if you trade on top exchange and investing on legit projects to avoid scam. There are always risks, so make wise decisions.

It's ridiculous to say that's Etherum is a scam coin. It has been in the market long enough to gain reputation and traders as well as investors' trust. Do not let fake news affect your thoughts or decisions in the cryptocurrency market. It's dangerous to believe in that kind of news. However, being careful is not wrong, it's good to keep your eyes open. |

For sure Ethereum is not a scam, but we can´t say what is the future for Ethereum. It has many failures in the past, for example, DAO hack followed by returning transactions. But without mistakes, we won´t learn. And without trying we won´t know what is possible and what is not. I hope that Ethereum succeed and bring cryptocurrencies to the next level  . |

I am more and more inclined to believe that ethereum is a scam, because it is on its basis that fraudulent projects come out: ico, defi projects and I don't see good project on ethereum. And finnaly how many years allready they pull it with eth 2.0  |

Ethereum can not be a scam.
I can testify that since i started using ETH to invest i always smile on each coin i invested because i always invest in the right platform which you will be see other investors people result for you to know you are in the right place for investment.
Even thou other cryptocurrency are scam but i can disagree wth you that ethereum is not a scam.Ethereum which is my favorit coin which i always get a big reward at the end of my ivestment.

for me anyone can provide an analysis that they think is correct and understandable and the explanation is very reasonable. but nowadays there are many analyzes of famous people but more that are untrue than reality, what is proud of is the military and clear analysis that is certainly read by many of his followers, but whether it must be true or not let time determine whether news like this can be trusted or just ignore it because all it takes is that ethereum still brings luck to many people it matters most.

In real world if a project is days late potential million dollar fines per day. Here every now and then a new buzz word/project is drown around for "investment" gambling opportunity and thats it. You can kick that Can down the road for some time, eventually it will just fall apart. In the 4 years things did not improve, the opposite it gets worse, gas price hundred times to high. |

Ethereum will never be a SCAM. Those who are saying it's a SCAM might have FOMO and they are not knowledgeable enough about Ethereum. And in addition to it they might accusing Ethereum as SCAM because of the HYIP projects that coming out recently using Ethereum to attract investors. Ethereum has a great contribution to the Blockchain and Cryptocurrency ecosystem.

We do make a comment on the current market situation. Even once, I thought that Bitcoin couldn't stay long on the top list. We don't know that the gold supply in our world is still valuable. During op comments, so many people thought Ethereum might be a scam. As we didn't realize the value of Bitcoin in 2009. Ethereum supply gradually decreases every year.

I just wish that i would have been in crypto back in those days already. Because i think nowadays it's way harder to do a 10x or even 100x than a few years ago.
It's still possible but the chance of investing in a project that is a scam or a total fail are just huge nowadays with all those new projects appearing every single day.

This old thread is always growing because of the many debates that have occurred and of course this has attracted the attention of many people considering that now Ethereum has become the number 2 coin in the entire market and with its smart contracts it is able to create many successful projects so it can be said to be funny with this thread. |

Only few months before 2021 and this post was made 2017 ,look at the Ethereum now, it continue to grow and trusted by many people second to bitcoin. If it was a scam digital currency I think it was already phase out and no value. It's really interesting to remember the past of any cryptocurrency and comparing to the current situation of it.

Looks like all links included And unregistered as well, pretty much similar in xrp case, can do all sort of market manipulation, even attack old eth with a few 'shares' in low percentage range , way below a 51 or 30% attack on usual PoW set up and mount their eth2.0 security on top / killing eth again, but most likely want to keep ticker, brand, ... like in etc case. Happy scammy days - until SEC getting into xrp mode on eth? |

That's the biggest fear of investors, but I hope it will not happen, ETH has already progress and hearing that kind of bad news will only make ETH to go dump again and I don't know if it will be able to survive, if that's the case then we should all invest in bitcoin. People say ETH is scam but look at ETH now. I don't know if they have some violation during the ICO but ETH has live up until now and I'm sure Vitalik and his crew are pretty much aware of this regulatory risk, so they'll find a way to solve whatever problems will come. |

Looks like all links included Why answer such a very old topic? just look at what's going on right now, instead of having to always argue on topics that are so old that the discussion will always be chaotic. For now, it can be said that the topic is no longer relevant to discuss and of course if it continues to be discussed it will be a waste of time, It's better to discuss topics that are relevant to the current conditions in the crypto world and that will be more interesting for sure |
