to others..

use escrow if buying/selling to avoid scams in the pm system.. if you are sending first, then you are setting up escrow not them, their escrow could be fake!!!

use the search feature to find good escrow options.

Too many scammers trolling the personal message service here. They will steal from you. They will get you to download .exe files calling them "escrow". Don't fall for any of it. Do a search here for reputable escrow agents. Don't take my word for it either. Do a quick search and educate yourself to avoid being scammed.

To all the new users who keep getting scammed somehow, USE ESCROW!

Check your buyers rep before trading and always use escrow, and don't trade with anyone who is new here.

If you do this you will not be scammed, its so simple, please for the love of god stop sending irreversible untraceable currency to strangers on the internet.

But using escrow is "sending irreversible untraceable currency to strangers on the internet" still....
its not that easy when you dont know who the trust worthy people are on here...even some "full members" are scammers....and theres not any 'official' escrow sites for alt currencies...
I wish it was that simple.

No its not, read into 2 of 3 transactions. You and the seller have to agree to release the funds or one of you and the escrow has to agree to release it, the escrow, seller or buyer can't steal the funds on their own if you use a 2 of 3 transaction.

its not that easy when you dont know who the trust worthy people are on here...even some "full members" are scammers....

And that bring me to my next point, the rank beside peoples name is based ONLY on post count, not reputation. Just because some is full or hero member doesn't make them trustworthy at all. Pirateat40 was a hero member, he still stole millions of dollars.

and theres not any 'official' escrow sites for alt currencies...

I don't own any alt-coins so I wouldn't know, but its still possible to do 2 of 3 transactions with any alt-currency and I'm sure you can find someone who will escrow your transaction.

Well its still not easy for a newb to know who to trust for escrow, and most scammers have many accounts, making fake transfer reps and fake escrows...

Well its still not easy for a newb to know who to trust for escrow, and most scammers have many accounts, making fake transfer reps and fake escrows...

Use someone who has been one the forums for years and has escrowed for hundred's of transactions of course, there are a lot of people who fit that category.

PM John K next time, he is a global moderator on the forums, has been here for a long time & has escrowed hundreds of tx's. Make sure you give a nice tip afterwards.
