This happened on Tux Exchange. I created a support ticket, but have to wait until probably tomorrow for a response. Any help on what I should or shouldn't do to fix this would be appreciated.

I don't think there is much that you can do. I recommend contacting crystalbits if you haven't already as they would likely need to be the ones to send you your bitcoin back. Support at the Exchange likely won't be able to do anything for you.

No idea what crystalbits is, but I'm guessing it's some kind of altcoin since you mention different addresses.

If you sent Bitcoin to an address which is not a valid Bitcoin address, you have lost it.  There's nothing you can do about that and Bitcoin addresses are irreversible - sorry, exchange support can't help you.

If you sent Bitcoin to an address which is a valid Bitcoin address (considering what you said, a "crystalbits wallet address", it seems unlikely), then you could only get it back if you found and contacted the owner of the address, which would be very difficult.

If crystalbits is a centralised service or shop (which is what I got when I searched it on Google), then all you can do is contact their support.

That but it should not be possible. Software clients have build-in security for this, to not allow send payments to not valid Bitcoin addresses.
Maybe this website/exchange u used doesn't have such security in place? They should :/

That may be a valid Bitcoin address too. But I expect Tux Exchange have the control of the private key of that address only on crystallbits network, which will not help you at all.
In some distant future, somebody will generate the private key of that address on the Bitcoin network and will have a nice surprise.
But realistically, I'd count those Bitcoin lost for humanity.
