Why?

This is Bitcoin. No regulation, no protector. The people are in control.

Get used to it.

hahahah really? Its been posted on numerous direct download and torrent sites.  Likely the people here don't intend on using it for nefarious purposes.  The ones you should be worried about are everyone else.

Exactly. Removing the link does not remove the file. Better let it all out in the open.

This is unfair. Bitcoin is supposed to be anonymous. If you post a file that links user names, emails, and passwords, its no longer anonymous. This goes against everything BTC stands for. So I bring forth a new goal: The hacker does not want to be anonymous, so we find out who he is. Then we *hack* him!

GOOOOOOOOOOO BITCOINS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Edit: Oops. Just fixed a typo. It should be GO (like GO TEAM!) and not GOOB
Edit2: Just checked the dictionary and goob is not a word

Too late to notify victims first, much better to have the news spread as fast and as widely as possible. People thinking about trading at Mt. Gox should be made aware of the risks.

I'm surprised they haven't been removed considering the SR thread was.

Honestly once something is out there you can't get rid of it, they should just allow them to stay up along with the original SR thread.
The original thread with them in has already been removed (yes, the entire thread, not just the links), as have several other threads, including ones that didn't link to the leaked database but were presumably considered too negative.

Quick somebody delete it from the internet!! haha really, u really think any1 who will try to crack the passwords will have more trouble if the link isn't on this forum.
as someone already said the damage has been done, those passwords are more or less useless now anyway.

edit: also if any1 still wants it: http://tinystack.com/downloads/accounts.csv

no worries Wink

My e-mail that I've used for years is in that file, and really, I don't give a fuck. I've already had it all over my web site and I get a lot of spam, but I also filter it pretty well. I know not to open anything executable or glance twice at anything from Nigeria. I also will shoot red hot daggers at any business that attempts to use said file as a database of Bitcoin users for marketing purposes— any such business (and there has already been one) will be on my shit list forever.

Cat's out of the bag, folks. Change your password and live with it.

What's the use of deleting all the links, at least people now know there is a database with there email and pass leaked.
Deleting the link doesn't delete it from the internet and the HDD's of people who downloaded it.

If you would find a way to do that, you'll be filthy rich, record company's would give you millions.

BITCOIN is anonymous but when you connect your BTC address to an IP address, web server, website etc then it is no longer anonymous.

Remember kids, bitcoin is only as anonymous if you want it to be. That means you have to take the necessary precautions to make sure it stays anonymous.
