Probably because they have been compromised. I first reported the hack on here. The hack would communication visitors to the site via a chat post on Insurex.co.

I wish Insurex would give me some tokens for the report.

As you may be aware, on 11th of July some time before the official IXT token sale was scheduled to open, we sustained a brief attack on our Twitter account and Intercom channel. This allowed attackers enough time to post a fraudulent message about an early pre sale, along with an incorrect Ether address. We are deeply sorry to anyone who has been affected by this unfortunate incident, we know that some of our supporters send funds to that address. We are now investigating the fraudulent contract containing those funds and intend to fully compensate all those who sent Ethereum over in good faith with the aim of receiving IXT tokens. If you are one of those affected please do make yourself known to us at info@insurex.co. We will publish further details of how to receive compensation shortly.

I'm sure it's nothing specific. Probably just a ripe opportunity, as many scams are.

They are not specific, they targeting every ICO

I think that they probably got DDOSed maybe same time there is another ICO ongoing and some people wanted attack them to get more cash $ for their ICO.
I think this is most probably common problem nowadays. too many doutctche bags around.

I think hacking was happened due to poor domain hosting.
But InsureX team has taken a very strong decision.
I think Extra token will be burned.
I hope IXT will be added in good exchange like bittrex.
If it added on Bittrex it will be good for speculator.

It is not attacked. I think its a critics. Dev must can make investor believe to this project, how project will do after this. Because hacked is very seriously problem
