Even if there is Apocalypse,or any other dangers anywhere around the world, there is no chance for bitcoin hitting 1$ over night. It would take a few days for hit 1$ even though I find no reason for it hitting 1$ anytime soon.

Could some major shift or change happen that would bitcoin nearly worthless especially overnight?
Yes it could happens and a 1 satoshi be equal to 1 USD Never understand from where it comes all this pessimistic ideas... Could the gold price be equal to 1 USD? Bitcoin is far from Gold. Is way more fragile. Seems some of you dont understand that Bitcoin is an experiment. There is quite a chance not only that 1 BTC is worth less then $1, but even nothing at all.

Of course. The thing that everyone is talking about right now, the hard fork that might be implemented, is one of these things. If a hard fork is successful and everyone ditches the original version of bitcoin, then obviously bitcoin is going to become worthless. However, this is probably not going to happen. For one we don't even know whether a hard fork is going to happen or not, and two, when a hard fork happens you will have coins on both chains, meaning that the value of your coins should remain relatively unaffected no matter how much each token fluctuates. Another scenario could be that somehow there was a loophole in the bitcoin network allowing exploiters to create infinite amounts of bitcoin, and dumping them on exchanges. I believe this happened when bitcoin was in its early stages, but this should be able to be solved via a fork.

I dont think it will be dumping that low. We all know how investors thing and buyers do they will be the great reason to make the price go up.

How could a pathetic person think that it would be happen? history will surely not repeat for itself and theirs no way bitcoins would go for such a bad dip since theirs a great adoption already happening on it and to many people benifited already on this rate so provably whales doesn't want bitcoins look to its awfull state. Those guys predicting so bad are just having a shitty dreams around here.

If the price increase happens same as the past price increase towards $2500 from $1200 surely there will be a big price pumping on the falling years. This will take years to reach big as one Satoshi equaling the value of a single USD.

May be in future, 1 satoshi can be turn the value as 1 US dollar. Possible adoption from the other Government apart from the Japan and other adopted countries. We are getting many ico every day like a Chinese movies, blockchain adoption rate will be big in number soon.

The chances for bitcoin to hit 1 USD is harder than striking the state lottery, it is almost impossible to happen because there are the economics factor, a lot of big whale traders are out there holding huge amount of bitcoin in their wallets, and if bitcoin price is dropping hard, they would pump in more funds and buy in more bitcoin to hold the price at certain level.

As always, there is no way of telling if bitcoin won't be targeted by governments in the future. We have no idea how it will scale or maybe there will be so internal dispute among miners. Despite the odds, chances of bitcoin reaching bottom are pretty slim. I hate to say that, but bitcoin is too big to fall, and this truth is more and more relevant and seems the case here. At this point I am certain that after every crash we will have someone who would start buying bitcoin up.

Neither the green paper worth anything, just a piece of special printed paper but what makes it important is the market (since it is no more related to gold). Same goes for bitcoin imo.

Major shift = Shift towards what? other alts like ETH, LTC Bitcoin can share marketcap with others in future too just like it is right now. Change = Hard fork is possible that might create some panic on the market Bitcoin being worthless = Bitcoin will never go under $100 or even under $1000 from this point.

Even after the hard fork happens in August 1 price will not go to 1 dollar for a bitcoin. Bitcoin is called digital gold or gold 2.0 and as long as it good as a store of value, I think it can never happen that the price of bitcoin to go equal to 1 dollar.

While it is true that the current price of bitcoin does not seem to have a rational basis, it does not seem to me likely that a target bitcoin price should be below $800, since for a long time of the previous months its price increase had been gradual and consistent, but when brook that resistance began this amazing climb that we see today.
It is not entirely impossible that the bitcoin can at some point lose its value until it reaches almost zero value. In the past of humanity we have seen similar events of assets that passed from being worth more than gold to be worth little more than nothing, but I do not see the conditions for that to happen in the short term.

It will never happen that bitcoin will be equal to $1 but this is more possible to happen. Yes it could happens and a 1 satoshi be equal to 1 USD The current total investment to crypto's are big and bitcoin has the highest total investment so I doubt it that we will again bitcoin's price back at $1. If that will happen, we'll need to see first back at $1,000.

Is it possible? I can't say no to that since we're talking about crypto currency. But is it likely such a thing will happen? No not at all. There is too many interest in bitcoin right now for that to happen. But we're never 100%.

Its hardly impossible to happen.Bitcoin has gained vast investor base all over the world. Its demand is diversified globally. So,if people of one region are willing to sell bitcoins in large number, people from other region are ready to buy it.So there is no decrease in demand and no chance of bitcoin price to fall down to $1.

Did you ever face with questions about "is bitcoin bubble?" ? Currently we are in correction "mood"..Remember, this rollercoaster ride is just getting started. So there’s no reason not to be buying now.

I don't get why people already think bitcoin is in a bubble. Bitcoin will be in a bubble when your neighbors want to buy bitcoin.
