...and there are also fees when transacting from BTC to altcoins (at least on Kraken) and when buying BTC on Bitstamp.

Hi,

It really depends on the country you live in. for example where i leave there is no other option of buying bitcoin unless buying it from localbitcoin and via cash. but beware of scammers. Once you have the BTC you can then send it to an exchanger of your choice in order to exchange them with altcoins. Exchanger i use are poloniex and bittrex. make sure you enable 2FA and i personally don't leave a big amount on exchanger for security reasons.

Hope it helps Smiley

I see on other sites people sell for bitcoin for paypal but sell it for 150% more. Is that something that you think would be a smart way to make easy money? Or are the scams too frequent for it to be worth it?

Coinbase is a reliable exchange in terms of how safe your funds are. Though periodic downtime's can be a detractor.

Hello,

I would like to buy a few altcoins, which websites are the safest to buy from with a credit card ?
Also are there any fees ? How can I know if a website is trustworthy ?

Example:
I buy 10 coins valued 1$/u.
Will I spend 10$ to get them in my wallet ?

You can buy from Coinbase exchange directly with your credit card but must pay a minimum fees with them depending to your purchased BTC but you can also buy from paxful with people that is already trusted so you can avoid being scammed, so many ways to buy using credit but differentiate only with fees, goodluck.
