It would be interesting to understand the demographics of how often transactions are performed in Bitcoin. If you're willing, please leave a comment explaining your response!

I'm more of a speculator...I don't plan on actually using them much until it increases a lot in value.
But I do tip people quite a bit, a dollar here, a dollar there. Usually when I find a reporter who actually took the time to setup a wallet, instead of just promoting FUD.

I also send a few bucks to the Libertarian Party of USA.

Where do you tip typically? Reddit?

If I had more Bitcoins to spend I'd be using it constantly but so far I've only used it a couple of times Sad lol Cheesy when I release more products I'll probably be using it a hell of a lot more, I haven't needed to look at my bank account in weeks.

I'm wondering if this thread will get buried without continual responses?

I'd love to use them more often, but they have become quite expensive  Undecided

They're practically infinitely divisible though- does the "price per unit" affect your decision to use them?

I bought a Raspberry Pi for .25btc a few days ago from a abitofpi.com
Otherwise, ASICminer shares ftw; havelock shares also when the BFL singles look a little closer to shipping

Since you posted this in the Newbie section, you're probably going to get skewed results. I don't know how many established forum members/long time bitcoin users frequent these threads.

I run or help run several bitcoin sites so I receive and send BTC on a regular basis. On a personal level, I still use bitcoins just about every day: I play poker at Seals With Clubs, I paid for my registration to the conference in San Jose, I buy goods and services from other bitcoiners whenever I get the chance, I've done small jobs/completed tasks for others in exchange for BTC, I donate to Bitcoin100 and the charities it has convinced to accept BTC, etc.

I would use it if I had more, but im bitcoin poor.

Sadly, I'm also bitcoin poor because I spend almost as much as I receive.  Cry

I cheer myself up by choosing to believe that I, and others like me, are the reason the value of BTC is where it's at today.  Wink

Still around.

This does not make any sense whatsoever, does it? Unless maybe you've found a place where the price is stable in BTC. I haven't found one, yet.

Also, I think they're dirt-cheap! Like, 100.000.000 Staoshi for just 120$! Holy hell that's a bargain like I've never seen one before. It's almost like they're giving away free money!

(That last part was a joke, but I hope you get my point. It's all relative. Bitcoin is expensive compared to what exactly, according to you?)

I would use it more often if I could. I wish I could pay rent with it.
