Hi,

Had an old RX290 that was in the cupboard so thought i would try and install it. Problem is i dont have the spare power cables that came with my Antec 1000W PSU. I need an 8 pin connection to PSU and the GFX card takes BOTH an 8 pin and 6 pin power connection. I cant seem to find a cable similar and the stores ive rang are NO help at all. Any ideas??? Thanks in advance.

Find the cables, or try contacting Antec and see it they'll sell you spare cabling.

Power supplies from different manufacturers do NOT normally use the same cables, so don't try mix-and-match.

Fuuuu no chance finding the cables  Cry Have emailed Antec also. Dont like my chances of a reply tho lol
would running 2 x separate cables work? As in all male connections, 1 x 8 to 8 pin connector and 1 x 8 to 6 pin connector?
Thanks.

GPU side is a standard but PSU is not, so even if they physically fit you have a good chance of burning something. Only way to be sure is to find psu pinout and compare that to cable connector, if it is different it needs to fixed first.
