I know that site but they havea bad reputation here in bitcointalk. There was someone who complained to them that they were holding that persons mkney in spectrocoin so I will suggest you to use it with caution.
 Just use coinbase or other exchange.

Are you from US? you can use coinbase to buy ETH also or shapeshift, poloniex, bittrex. You can trade in there. Not familiar with ECC but you can prolly buy there as well. Just search on google on exchanges that you can use. Localbitcoin is also good platform to buy BTC with USD if you are looking for p2p trade and you may find people who do trade face to face.

Try liqui and Bittrex that really offer good rates, their support system is the best and they have mostly all the popular coins listed on their website. Their fee is as much as other exchange websites (0.001-0.0015 btc) but the withdrawals are instant and all their wallets are always online. To buy btc via ethereum, these two sites are better than coinbase while for btc/usd trades, kraken and gemini are better.

Coinbase is good for that and I guess they have low fee and they have fast transaction. Also in localbitcoins you can have transaction with the human not only with the system also you can have choose with lowest fee just stroll them around and you can see there who offer lowest fee. But better not look for lowest fee because it will cause slower transaction or it will come to you days after transaction made.
