Shorting is not really a good option at least to me, the market at the time is very unstable and I think it is going to be for quite some time, the best thing to do is try to take refuge in the most known coins, Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, and other coins, sell the coins that are not well known, you should have gotten your earnings already anyway.

Yeah, if you compare Bitcoin with all other altcoins, but I think that if you just stick with the top 10 altcoins on Coinmarketcap, the risk is similar to that of Bitcoin.

Actually, the value of those altcoins is pretty tied to the value of Bitcoin, meaning that when Bitcoin prices you down, altcoin prices follow suit.

Even bitcoin trading sometimes getting affected by whales, altcoins markets are almost every day being manipulated by those dev and whales. That is the reason we can see drastic dumps and pumps are happening with altcoin tradings more frequently.

i think its normal if we see that almost all coins is down by 20 to 35 % and i think its because of bitcoin price is increase more so the altcoin need to make correction price. i don't know if there is any other manipulation from big whales or not, i only watching from the market and if bitcoin is down, then its the time for altcoin to gets increase more than before. so, i hope we don't have to gets panic when we are seeing the altcoin is down, just relax for a while, waiting for a day or weeks, then the price will be back normal again.

I feel its the hype that is not ending. Most of the altcoins are coins which now have value due to nothing. I mean seriously I consider most of them as ponzis, and none of them is every going to be replacing bitcoin. Hence the price falling is no big deal.

Even yesterday, ANT fell like 40% in value over night, just because of one bad news. That shows that there is no real value except for speculation which drives the price up or down.

We should totally be happy, let us not look at this as the market is crashing because it will not happen anymore, it's normal to see the dump and all is because of wrong news of information where the whales also ride with it to make it to their advantage. Never fall this trap.. Smart trader should know exact time or price for  exit and enter orders. Prices will decrease more with panic selling but cheap prices mean good opportunity to buy altcoins.

Indeed it is good opportunity. Im also going for ETH and few of the selected coins. Im getting ready for huge profits. The dumps have to be there to cover up the losses that I had previously. I have made lots of mistakes in last month by investing at higher prices well I was thinking that prices will go even higher. But later I came to know that was really bad move. Lol! Now I am going to be very cautious and will invest step by step with current dump. I have chosen one of the greatest coins and ICO tokens to invest in and I'm sure that they will pay me back my losses plus huge profits too. :-)

That down fall was over and we see another up trend again before another down fall again this week. I think crypto currencies market is trying to create a pattern and channel for future trading technical analysis. Without this crypto currencies has no future if the price keep on pumping up without a correlation.

Nothing relating to news coming out but something like this was bound to happen when it comes to altcoins, you can't be expecting growth like this to continue for THIS LONG. We're just sitting here while all the altcoins were hitting more and more all time highs-- it was bound to all come crashing down at some point, and personally I think this is a small crash that isn't something that's really going to stop them. But in the future we're going to see something like an insane bubble popping with tons of billions being lost in this, who knows when, but it will come at some point.

Nothing yet, but come soon will be the big collapse.

Nuclear war, come on man can't you think something more disastrous like earth falling into sun! Haha. I'm sure that nothing like this is happening nor it will happen until 2050 goes upside down. Well, the coins are lowering in the price because they are seeing common selling currently. This happens mostly due to chain reaction of panic selling. Few big investors start selling big amounts of chunks resulting into drop of price and then others think that market is going down and they must sell off everything. The end result is down market. Obvious.
