I'm building a mining rig (5 graphics cards) and so far I saw people using ethernet cable to connect it to the internet. In my case the rig will be placed in my garage and running an ethernet cable from there would be a problem.

So I was wondering, can I use a WiFi adapter like this one instead?

Thanks for your quick reply.

That mining software (claymore, etc.) doesn't need too much broadband when mining, it only needs a reliable connection, correct?

I just did this today and used an old router and set it up as a repeater bridge in the garage. Then ethernet to that router acting as a switch. It does half the wifi speed. Or buy a cheap USB adapter. I am more trying to reuse some stuff sitting around.

Mining doesn`t use a lot of data, a 6 gpu mining rig would use less than 15mb/day running claymore dual mining.
