Hello everyone! I am kinda new to mining so in advance I apologise for asking a sort of dumb question. So, the problem is that the mining speed of my setup is only about 3.3 MH/s as shown by Ethminer whereas it is capable of much more. What do I need to do to improve the speed?
CPU: Intel Core i5-6600@3.3Ghz (however running on 3.6Ghz)
GPU: MSI GTX 970 4GB

Oh, thank you so much! Now my mining speed is about 18.5 MH/s which I believe is good for my setup!

Hi,

Also i would suggest tryng Skein mining on Nvidia cards currently, ETH is more likely AMD world. Checkout this guide for Skein or Zcash mining: http://mylifegadgets.com/setup-ethmonitoring-miner-software/
