I am expecting a good rally when it comes to the next halving and i expect that the price would reach around $10 k ,either way i expect these kind of growth in the price of bitcoin in the coming years.We will have many price corrections but the ultimate thing is that the price will be going up.

I would say that 10K is not unlikely a month ago but with the upcoming UASF I'm not sure how things will turn out. Things can either go well or things can turn out to be bad really fast. Since the market is so volatile a lot of people tend to panic sell a lot very quickly. That's why I'm very cautious with my predictions.

To me i think the price of bitcoin reach to $10k five or six years later because its adoption in all the countries can take a long time due to it price will not goes to 10k$  in next years , and I think in next year its will increase to 4000$ instead of 10k$.

Millions will be possible in your way ? I guess that must be easily possible when bitcoin community itself will be staying stronger and friendlier like tx with reasonably lower fees. Million dollars per bitcoins and then 10 millions per bitcoins are going to happen in upcoming years but I am not sure 5 years time frame will be enough for that or not....

UASF has been some sort of a nightmare for miners which they at all cost try to prevent, and as result, the support for SegWit2X has been pumping decently. If things go as they are, then it's very likely that a UASF is prevented from becoming reality. But still, we're not there yet as literally anything can happen. It has to activate before I can happily look forward to the eventual hard fork that needs to follow. As long as that isn't happening, I'll remain conservative.

First let us wait and see if we're even alive in the next five years, I guess we'll continue to be ungrateful of devs, they will keep spending time and work their asses off and then people will come here and bash them calling them names.
Bitcoin was the first crypto currency but it will not remain the only one as we can already see the potential of other coins.
But since every thing is predictable in Bitcoin such as difficulty and block time, I'd say if we'll have a difficulty increase like what we're seeing now and if it keeps rising with this speed then it will increase 2000% in five years and price could increase at least 1500%.

If no problem happens, price will sure hit $10.000 level.
But I can't be sure if stays there.

My personal expection:
There will be one more bear run in btc in 1 or 2 year time, it will go down around $1000,
but starting before 2020 and after it will go to $20.000s.
This is my mere speculation.

It's really hard to predict how much the price will be in 5 years. There was a speculation earlier last month I think, that bitcoin will hit $3500 by the end of this year and it hasn't been close to end of this year but it had reached $3000 already. So we can't really tell the exact amount in 5 years time if that's the case.

That's a very long period of time, buddy. We do not know what will happen to bitcoin within 5 years, but as far as I know when it happens segwit will have a potent impact on bitcoin prices. I'm sure the prices will tend to increase in 5 years. Maybe this will reach $ 7,000 upwards. But I do not know whether segwit will have long or short impact on bitcoin growth.

It for sure is a very long time, there will be hardly someone knowing what exactly could happen to the bitcoin and to rest of the elements that are involved into the growth of bitcoin. I wish nothing negative be done with the bitcoin after the implementation on the Segwit. Currently for me the situation is just like pf wait and see. I can’t say anything right now.

bitcoin is currently on a good path with the SegWit support from the miners on one side and also the legalization of bitcoin in multiple countries we can expect a good rise. and as more merchants start accepting bitcoin we can slowly see the effects of adoption and the real price rise.

so the 10K$ is no longer like a far away target as it was a couple of years ago. people are starting to know and trust bitcoin as an investment or as a currency to use.

The legalization of the bitcoin at multiple countries have strengthened the bitcoin very much. The bitcoin today is a powerful cryptocurrency with the edge of being legalized. Those people are taking interest in it now after the legalization who were not ready to think of the bitcoin to be their choice of investment. If one or two economically strong countries recognized bitcoin then its price will become out of the reach for a common man.

I hope you're right and that the UASF is in a sense a bait for the miners to activate segwit2X in order to solve the scaling problem. If that's the case then I hope we will see the miners fully supporting segwit2x before august just to be safe I guess. I really don't want to see 2 bitcoins.

I don't have an idea, it's hard to predict regarding this but anything can possible to happen. Some says it will be on a pumping scenario, other says it will make other investors jump to other alt coin. But on my opinion it will happen possibly at $10k but who knows let's wait for the upcoming days.

Yes I agree it is not easy to forecast the future of the bitcoin before we see what really happens with the Bitcoin price by the implication of segwit.
I guess passing any king of remarks about the Bitcoin future before the August 1st is not trustworthy. They will all be rough assumptions and nothing else.

I don't get your low numbers to be honest.
Let's assume Bitcoin stays decentralized, still being number 1 crypto, Jihan having competition from other chip manufacturers like IBM, Intel, Samsung which will would make again much more decentralized as well, and all those great technological improvements like MAST, confidential transactions, Schnoor Signatures, Lightning Network and similar L2 structures will have been implemented, we will be much higher than just $10k! 5 years from now would be 2 years after next halving in 2020! Bitcoin could probably handle much more transactions than Visa, Mastercard and AMEX together! For much lower fees!!!

Sure what I subscribed would be an extremely positive and bullish scenario without any party making trouble again due to power grabbing or whatever.
But if that would be the case, imo we will see a value of $30k - $50k per BTC! Maybe way more, depending on the user adoption.
Keep in mind , once Bitcoin starts to hit the exponential phase of s-curve adoption... things will go extremely quick and wild!

Bitcoin is incredibly scarce! That's the reason why we see all the fighting and political manoeuvring going on at the moment! The big guys in this space know very well what a Bitcoin could be worth in 5-15 years!

we are currently stuck behind a very long debate which has stalled the rise of bitcoin. if we had Seg Wit then the Japan news about mass adoption would have had a very different effect and price would have already reached $4000
