Maybe in the future that might happen some new currency will surpass bitcoin we'll never know what's ahead of us. But i think as long bitcoin keeps improving in it's technology like google it will be there forever for everyone to use as a decentralized mainstream crypto currency. Bitcoin is open source as long as there are people supporting it will continue to be better.

Yahoo was the first (?) search engine at the time when Internet started. It was the pioneer in its field. In the late 90's its market cap reached to a high closed to $120B. Three and a half years after Yahoo started, Google came out and gradually took away market share from Yahoo.
After 22 years, Verizon bought it for $4.8B. Would Bitcoin ending up like Yahoo in the future and got beat up by new competitions?

Yes of course. Bitcoin can be beated by the other promissing cryptocurrency like etherium for example but it will take long time start now because bitcoin still have high power that can make bitcoin can not be defeated for near time. |

Anything is possible so it's a yes, if and only if, the management team behind bitcoin feels overconfident. Overconfidence, in the business world, is arrogance. It results to bankruptcy.
Any business is unpredictable. The success rate always fluctuates. If bitcoin focuses too much on making hasty decisions inside their own kingdom, ethereum might overtake them without them knowing. Yahoo is a was to Google now just like My Space to Facebook.

That was unfortunate for yahoo. I don't think bitcoin will end same way. Bitcoin has its current challenges and will continue to have new ones from time to time, but the developers are always there to find solutions. Again, the sure thing is that bitcoin may not maintain its leadership forever. |

I think it is very likely, because everything in the future we don't know, what kind of things can happen, might come out a new currency to replace the currency may come out new technologies to be eliminated COINS
We can’t compare bitcoin with yahoo bitcoin is totally different then yahoo and from bitcoin you can earn a lot of money and also you can learn a lot of things about bitcoin because bitcoin is the only hope now a days which can help us and every single countries they want to join bitcoin to change their economy some rich companies have also join bitcoin so demand of bitcoin is going high day by day and it will be survive for ever. |

If we talk Crypto market BTC is come first on mind. SO lot's of emotion covered with btc but lot's of serious issue in BTC like high transaction fees, scaling issue ,very low real life use and lot's. Mot impotently except trading we can't see it real life use. Until real life acceptance can't grow any thing. how long speculation can continue

It is a very good thesis. I liked you example. But I dont believe that any altcoin can replace Bitcoin. Bitcoin will be like gold of cryptocurrencies. Marketing was important those years and Google became leader of the market. Yes we can see other altcoin which has better technology than bitcoin but even now we have. Bitcoin was the first and it will stay as leader.

Yes, we dont know what's gonna happen, but hopefully bitcoin will not end like yahoo because its very useful and helps people to transact money easily.
from my observation Btc will for ever remain King of over the rest coins. all that the to put in place is constant upgrading, and creativity and lastly if they can work on the transaction fees then it will never end up like Yahoo. |

From my point of view, as long as Bitcoin has its investors it will remain and will be more develop in the future. Considering that Bitcoin is the main reference of all cryptocurrencies it will unlikely will end. As long the demand rate is high, it will rise and rise it price and will remain at he top. And Because many altcoins are being developed it also affects the development of Bitcoin.

If it does I can't predict because we can't predict the future,but I'm sure Bitcoin will not end up like Yahoo because bitcoin is more popular than Yahoo and bitcoin different with Yahoo,if bitcoin is known as a digital currency that can buy goods, such as items of household tools, while the yohoo just a site that can not pay or buy.

I believe that the only permanent in this world is change so I think bitcoin being the top cryptocurrency will eventually replaced by another altcoin. This may take sometime but the change is inevitable. We have seen several cryptocurrency that have more advance feature than Bitcoin in terms of speed and security. It is just a matter of time. The effect of being first mover to decentralized blockchain had not faded yet but if it does then we can see a change of rankings among cryptocurrency.

It can not happen journey of btc is amazing so far. Bitcoin is altogether different from yahoo (search engine). On the contrary btc will bounce back very strongly. If bitcoin is bearish now for sometime it doesn't mean that we will compare btc to yahoo. Btc is the leading crypto currency none other coin is not near to surpass btc.

You are trying to use the correct analogy basing on websites which is yahoo vs google. There is always a race in this world and google is more efficient because of its functions. Bitcoins and altcoins are just the same, if people will lose its interest to bitcoins then probably there will be one coin who will be going to replace btc in the future. |
