Good time to buy Litecoin?

Hi everyone,

Litecoin hasn't really took off like other cryptos but, and I am sure you all know by now, Charlie Lee (founder of Litecoin) resigned from Coinbase to solely focus on Litecoin which is great news.

At the time of this post Litecoin is at $29.73. Some speculate that this is a cryptocurrency to buy now for long term investment.

I am curious as to what everyone here thinks? Are you guys optimistic in the long term potential of Litecoin?

I'm not sure how I feel about it. I mean the fact that it got on coinbase you'd think would have given it a huge boost but it never happened. :/ That's not to say that it still couldn't happen tho

The chart looks pretty good to me right now (vs btc); ltc seems to have found a lot of support at the .01 level and now the trend seems to have reversed somewhat (higher highs, higher lows etc.)
Think maybe people are using ltc as a hedge against the btc drama going on at the moment/in the coming months.

As the value has dropped right now it's good to buy now and get some additional profit. With litecoin the growth is found good and if the chart is analysed none could have felt a loss with litecoin trading as the growth percentage is quite big.

But in btc term it is still hell of cheap https://www.coingecko.com/en/price_charts/litecoin/btc moving holding from btc to Ltc seems fine

Litecoin is a bubbling. Everyone knows its going to explode one day. So buy and hold it for 2 years for huge gains. I wouldnt want to day trade LTC.

You would need a lot to invest to profit from LTC daytrading since the margins are really small right now
(coin is pretty stable at the moment)
but I would not be surprised to hit the $40-50 range by the end of the year.

Its definitely worth owning some Litecoin as a long-term investment IMO.

Litecoin is close to breaking above $33-34 resistance and should hit its old highs of $60 this year.
 Once it breaks above $60, triple digits are very likely.
I've traded in and out since < $4 days but it would have been better to just hold on.

So I sold 3.9 ETH coins today. Originally bought those at 240 and sold for 355. I then took $300 of the profit from the ETH to buy my first few LTC. i'll keep the rest of the USD in my coin base wallet and re-buy ETH when it drops below $240 which supposedly will happen in the coming weeks. Let's see if I am right!

Litecoin hasn't taken off but it also doesn't offer a lot more as a coin than bitcoin already does. I think the reason other altcoins have mostly done better than litecoin is because they have unique features that differentiate them from all the others. Litecoin only offers shorter confirmation times and a different type of PoW.

Litecoin took a lot of time to put itself together even before there was serious competition from other altcoins they were not proactive

now that a lot of brilliant projects have taken off and this is when they want to organize themselves...having my doubts about buying ltc.

Buy litecoin now or you will regret. Everything seems very bright to litecoin right now and soon more fund will be added to litecoin and the price will hit $100. Litecoin has been undervalued for many years and it can not be acceptable

litecoin is undervalued compared to bitcoin so holding it for long term.
It should rise more alongwith bitcoin.

I'm not sure.. I think Litecoin is a much better investment under $30. There's a chance that it will keep climbing up, but probably not much more. Unless something crazy happens. Under $30 is a good price point to buy into LTC.

I agree, I do not think LTC has even begun to show its value. I just bought 10 earlier today. I do not think this is the type of crypto you and buy and sell in the short term but rather buy now and hold onto it for the years to come.
