According to the developer[1], "[DGW] uses multiple exponential moving averages and a simple moving average to smoothly adjust the difficulty. This implementation is far more simplistic and better suited to adjust difficulty than KGW and also fixes all known exploits."

What will happen to the unconfirmed coins that were mined on pools before hardfork? will they disappear after implementing hardfork or stay? after all they're not matured coins so I'm not sure about this one.

I recommend not mining it for now until the hard fork is completed. To be honest I don't know what will happen to unconfirmed coins and I do not recommend to mine it at the moment. I hope that everything will get confirmed until the hardfork, but until then better don't mine.
