Cryptocurrenices not a good investment?

Lots of people are saying that cryptocurrenices aren't a good investment because just hoarding the coins over time they will lose their value. I disagree. Not everyone is going to be hoarding for a start. If the currency has great features, potential and relatively cheap say 2 cents a coin just starting. In 3 years time it that coin became worth say 3 dollars and you decided to sell, you have made 150x what you invested. Am I missing the point here? Maybe there not good investments in the traditional sense More gambles. But still a gamble like that would of paid off so maybe it's not such a bad idea taking somewhat of a punt.

Only invest money you can lose. You can waste your money on useless things now or have maybe double/triple your money in a few months/years.

I personally think crypto can be a good investment if you invest in the right coins/tokens.

Investing is not gambling. When you invest in offline business. For example you invest in restaurant that wants to open. You put your money then you wait for the restaurant to make profit. If the restaurant makes profit you ll be profit too. Is that gambling? Gambling is like poker game. Investing isn't gambling. All members I say not all but most members when they invest in cryptocurrency have expectation that the price will rise. You buy a coin for 0.001 USD / 100000 coins . after three or four month the price can be 0.05 How much is your profit? 0.05 x 100000 = 5000 USD. YOu only spend 1000 USD. So your profit is 4000 USD. is that gambling? No, It is investment. Does investing has risk? every business has risks. If you don't face the risk just go to office at 9 and go home at 4 and sleep. You have no risks of loosing money but you have no change to earn big money.

I not think invest to buy a cryptocurrency is look like as gambiling! Why not? Because when you want investing to a cryptocurrencies, you need know this coin is real project? Is a poniz or not? ... and if you can do that, I can say that is strategic investment. Sometime you can loss, but it very small
But when you not know all, just hear from some people say that coin is good, can x10 x20 ... and buy it, I will say it is gambiling, is buy memes, and you will loss your money anytime!!!

You are right that one can earn a lot if buys a coin for a couple of cents and sells it for a few dollars. But that is what others call 'no value', for thus we treat cryptos as means of earning money and nothing more. Thus, once everyone decides to sell, because they have always waited for a good time to sell, the coins crushed.
However, I would add that some coins like btc and eth are starting to get their material backup by being implemented in business projects. And this can truly save them.

not true with bitcoin, or the strongest altcoin, who is the moron that say this? maybe someone that don't want that you make also easy money? crypto are very good now to invest in, the return is very high and it's the best investment you can do, just don't gamble with your money, do a wise investment, aim at coin that have potential in oen way or another

Only when you know when to buy and when to sell, in 3 years, your coin has increased its price 150 times but if you predict the price change in the right way, you can earn more than 150x because you can sell your coins when the price was high and buy again when it's low

I agree with you, cryptocurrenccy can be used in various investments.
For example Trading, as well as real currency. So its value rests on the owner of the money.

That is kind of a loaded question.  It is a "good" investment.  No probably not.  It is a high risk investment.  But high risk investments usually have greater rewards than low risk.  Especially in smaller alt coins. 

With a regular investment, like the restaurant that was mentioned, you are investing in something that exists, so there is a decent chance it will exist after the 3 years you leave it.  If it makes money or not, and how much is an entirely different question.  With small alt-coins, you are investing in someones idea.  That idea might be to create a community and a coin with an economy, and that coin may grow large.  The idea also can easily be to get rich quick, off the backs of the people investing in their coin.  Of the "bigger" alt coins that I purchased 2 years ago, when I decided to back away for a while, only a handful of coins still existed.  The rest just fell to the wayside, or the developer did something really dumb and killed it off by "accident".   Only play around with what you can lose and not think twice about it.

There are some cryptocurrencies that are a good investment but not all of them, if you want to invest on cryptocurrencies which I think you know is very risky you have to know and learn about those currencies if they have good and progressive projects so you would know your investment is in good hands if you intend to keep them for long. Just remember, don't risk something you can't afford to loose.
