I have some of both for money making reasons not at all sentimental just for the record

Last few days all the chat was how ether was going to overtake btc firstly market cap wise (which it may eventually do tbf) then next the talk was of "the flippening" where the price of ether would take over btc, get in touch with nasa  and ask if you can cash in your return ticket from planet pluto ya dreamer

cold hard fact - btc took a dive yesterday which in all honesty wasnt a surprise after the bullish run it was on, altcoins followed no surprise there!

what did ether do when it had the goal gaping in front off it, top crypto being the prize?Huh? it shrunk/dived/crapped it lol, in fact right now it is still shadowing its daddy a whole day later, be honest etherites bitcoin is daddy and king

mind im a holder of both and not a shiller for 1 or the other, just stating facts

the king is dead, long live the king!!

Yea BTC isn't going anywhere...

That's unless the BTC community splits it in a thousand directions by the end of next month. Basically the only thing that can end the BTC reign at the moment are its own miners depending on the decisions they make.

Overtaking bitcoin based on market cap isn't really that big of a feat, IMO.  Bitcoin is still the undisputed king, even if ethereum is gaining in value.  Everything in the world of crypto is gaining in value, and ETH just happened to be caught up in the mania.  The fact is that if anyone is spending crypto, it's bitcoin.  If people are holding crypto as a store of value, it's bitcoin (mostly).  I would not QUITE say that eth is bitcoin's bitch, because it has its own unique uses, but it kinda is.  Everything is bitcoin's bitch.  That's what I mean to say.

Lots of luck holding eth.  I wouldn't buy it, but it's probably not a bad idea these days.  Everything crypto related has been reaching insane new heights...but just make sure you sell before it all crashes down.

If BTC doesn't fix the transaction times and high fees then BTC would end up being ETH's little bitch

yeah i can see the rationale in the fud sense but if everybody is being honest do you really think when it comes down too the crunch they are going to floof up the best chance they've ever had of becoming rich, no danger at all, when it comes down to the nitty gritty common sense and greed will win out, as greed always does

I think the main thing that makes bitcoin the undisputed king is the fact that everything is traded in terms of bitcoin. Its like the reserve currency in the altworld and compared to bitcoin very little ETH is traded directly into fiat.

The thing is that could quickly change if ETH moved up substantially higher but I think it needs a while to adapt to its new marketstatus before it can threaten bitcoin's dominance in that way.

no way, btc is the daddy look at the recent charts, worst case scenario it dosent fix tx times its still the no1 store of value, its still the undisputed market leader even with its troubles imagine if they fixed it, ether will crumble back to 50 to 100$ territory, could be very soon if all partys sort out their woes

Eth may pass btc in 1-2 months in market cap.

yes it may do but in reality so what!!

eth passing btc marketcap it needs to go roughly to 600$ to oust btc, thats basically because there are at least 3 times more ether than there is btc infact it may be a lot more than that but at least thats confirmed

eth is great for ico's just now, possibly in time when some dapps become useful but right now if you could name me one working/successful dapp on ethereum then you would be in the minority my friend

im not an ether fudder at heart more of a realist trying to help others see the light before the mortgage money evaporates into the ether lol (see the pun?)
