This is nothing new. When value is involved there always be scammer or thieves who want to steal your money. Just be careful with your money, doesn't matter if it's cash or crypto currency. Always do your homework when investing into something.
Correct, scammers are more particular with the value that they can get from their hard work by stealing the money from others that they did not earn. Things can happen, be careful with your password and keys. we should be even more careful with our seeds and keys at the moment as numbers of scammers increased way too much.

The best advice to anyone considering investing in any ICO or project is to think carefully before parting with your moneyI have enough PMs from all sorts of alleged coders who can create the best of the best but all of them have been scammers trying to take money, many asking 25% in advance without any real contract and with no recourse or protection for the investor. One of the biggest flops was valduz10 purporting to be a coder who will make an exchange for $5000. He offered nothing in contracts and wanted the 0.25 BTC immediately to make a demo site which he would show after 3 weeks. In the final part of the "project" he wanted several thousands to go to CPC and CPM sites that he claimed to have coded which would advertise banners and had some google-dream up his sleeve too. Upon realising his scam was outed, he resorted to name calling like "boyo" and "wierdo". Another was AikFrank, a Nigerian who wanted 5 BTC to make a Visa card associated with bitcoin wallets which he claim he coded from scratch. He insisted on chatting in a private Tawk.to box rather than leave evidence here in PMs. He claimed he was going to get free hosting but asked for money because he was working on the project full time for 4 weeks. I advised him to change the free adminLTE dashboard and show me a tangible product but then the truth unfolded. He now claims he sold the "company" to a UK company. Upon rumbling his scam he resorted to name calling such as "ghost" and "time waster" both ironically could be applied to himself https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1931218.0There are more but the moral of the story is... Too many scammers here. Some must be making a tidy sum every month by ripping people off, like a salary without actually having a job but happy bringing pain to investors. The internet is full of scammers no only in this forum or in bitcoin I receive a lot of PM as well from people begging for money or that have some business proposals or that recommend that I invest in their icos, the best thing you can do is to simply ignore them, they are trying to scam you and if you listen to them there is a chance they are going to deceive you, so report them and then forget about them.

Really? Actually no one ever asked me here for money. It's not like i would give them some but still. Well I guess the asking for mone is now running an own "ICO" so.. But thats really true in crypto there are really a lot of scammers around. Big mone big amount of scammers easy as that.

Scams are increasing now, especially with anonymous payments and anonymous emails. Just need to be smart with your coins - don't respond to PMs, if it's genuine then they can produce an ANN thread and make it public - open to full scrutiny.

ya, the simple thing is if the coins/token really have good project, no need to pm people 1 by 1, just make ann thread and let people judge that the project is worth or not

I think a swindler is unforgivable! But now there is a lot of fraud and there is nothing we can do about it, but we can only raise our vigilance, especially here. Many fraudsters just want to get personal information, and he can release a thread and a Google form, and it's easy to get real information about people.

PLEASE BEWARE
Lots of scammers are operating under the guise of legitimate businesses but they are playing the long game. Too many selective scammers operate too so please take care when dealing with anybody.
My signature with the Scam Alert will be updated regularly so please keep a look out for it and try to stay away from scammers.

this is a terrible case but the fact is that there are many cases of fraud like that and will continue to grow and if there is no solution for all this then things will continue to happen until investors really don't trust ICO anymore and finally ICO will really die. so can we stop it? honestly I'm not ready for that

And this is like one of the causes of market conditions getting worse, because of the many negative things that often occur. Crypto is in a bad condition right now, the more it stands out the more negative things will happen on it.

We are all absolutely aware of this scammer. yeah, they are coming per days and they are growing. Most of the scammers are very detail, careful, adn smrt. They always make the great projects with the excellent preparation. They make their project trusted enough, sometimes they also have been listed on the ICO ratings. That is why, to ensure the legit or scammers, we must be absolutely careful.
