No, scammers are everywhere. There are also legit projects here and you just nee to know who's real and who's not. I don't know if you've been to other sites like Facebook because scammers here is just a small number compared to that site.
I agree with you mate, in this forum it can minimize the number of scammer because we always give important to our account which having a good value in the long run that is why the individuals are not attempting to scam other users specially for those higher ranked in this forum, but as i read in some thread here there are some ICO's are not legit they showing good project to get more investors then after that they will not give the profit of the investors together the capital. In the future this forum needs special identification for developers so that it can minimize cheating, commitment fee is a good step to avoid something unexpected, now many projects appear freely without being recognized legit or not, if you talk about ico success. and it turns out that the price of coins is not as expected in the trading market, then it is a risk in the free market.

scam is a word I've done in the world of cryptocurency. remember in hasocean many do not expect to be a scam. but lucky I have drawn my minning proceeds. but through hasocean we learn that the world of crptocurency is a world at high risk. only some geniuses dare to dabble here with all the risks. I hope duina crypto will continue to grow with a legal basis that protects the perpetrators of crptocurency. so there is a guarantee of equality and through it will make a positive source that becomes a hook for investors.

I couldn't agree more. All of them have different strategies so they can catch the weak preys on their web. The good thing is their reputation wouldn't last a week or month once they are proved to be doing scam. Thanks to red trust so members are automtically warned when they see it.

Yes, I would suggest having an escrow if you are dealing with strangers on the forum. Or better yet, use websites like freelancer.com to pay the coder in steps as the work progresses.

We must be careful and alert of scammers and non legit projects or activities, the number of scammers were getting larger, because the price of the Cryptos in each market were being good that's why they tend to steal and to scam others for them to be able to get money. And also they were getting the time to steal and scam.So we need to be alert and careful enough for us prevent being scammed, because we cannot stop scam by ourselves but we can prevent it.

Bitcoin is made by the use of internet and we all know that when you say you can earn money by using internet, theres only one word comes into our mind that scam. So all we have to do is to, always check if that thing is true and always becareful, because lots of scammers are always there waiting for you to bite from thier plan.

The best advice to anyone considering investing in any ICO or project is to think carefully before parting with your moneyI have enough PMs from all sorts of alleged coders who can create the best of the best but all of them have been scammers trying to take money, many asking 25% in advance without any real contract and with no recourse or protection for the investor. One of the biggest flops was a particular user purporting to be a coder who will make an exchange for 0.25 BTC. He offered nothing in contracts and wanted the 0.25 BTC immediately. He wanted several thousands to go to CPC and CPM sites that he claimed to have coded which would advertise banners and had some google-dream up his sleeve too. Upon realising his scam was outed he resorted to name calling. Another was one who wanted 5 BTC to make a Visa card associated with bitcoin wallets which he claim he coded from scratch. He insisted on chatting in a private Tawk.to box rather than leave evidence here in PMs. He claimed he was going to get free hosting but asked for money because he was working on the project full time for 4 weeks. I advised him to change the free adminLTE dashboard and show me a tangible product but then the truth unfolded. He now claims he sold the "company" to a UK company https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1931218.0There are more but the moral of the story is... Too many scammers here. Some must be making a tidy sum every month by ripping people off, like a salary without actually having a job but happy bringing pain to investors. Yup, there are TONS of scammers on this forum... But who are you to blame them? They need money, so they chose to scam people for it. I don't think that scamming is good, but it's just a choice they made. We should just avoid trading with them and ignore them for the rest of their lives. Anyways, there are also a lot of legit ICOs which are worth it to invest in. I think people should just think a bit better themselves, before investing. There has been so many threads saying stuff like this, but yet people are getting scammed every minute. Regards, Trump yup that's true a lot of scamer here, live depends on how we choose and see it ,, always be careful before we invest ,,, because not only scamer alone is here ,,, it all depends on the way we choose and our luck

As we all know, there is no easy way to vertify whether it is a scam or not, only you can do is doing more research to reduce the risk.

Crypto currency is easy to be anonymous, therefore scammers have chances to be anon and keep deceiving. We need to do due diligence by ourselves.

There are scammers here. Yes. There are also legit guys who will help you without looking for anything in return. One precaution to have is never to deal with a singular person alone. Open project and deals is far better in this forum.

That's why if there's something fishy then you should be more cautious. We need to trust our guts and when it's too good to be true I think we should know what to do, back off!

Its a catch 22. It will not be good for the industry if ICO's become heavily regulated.
We need to regulate this ourselves as a community. This forum is such a good thing as it alearts us to the scammers very quickly.
Investors also need to be careful. If they are not taking the time to fully investigate...they really only have themsleves to blame.
