Hello,

I want to invest 20000 € in a few mining rigs. The big problem is that the most amd GPUs are not available, so i have to take nvidia GPUs. I would like to get the max. possible Mh/s for Ethereum mining and to build some 6*GPU-Rigs.

I can get following GPUs:
- ASUS Dual GeForce GTX 1060 OC, 6GB - about 300€
- ASUS ROG Strix GeForce GTX 1060 OC, 6GB - about 330€
- ASUS ROG Strix GeForce GTX 1070 OC, 8GB - about 500€
- EVGA GeForce GTX 1070 FTW Gaming ACX 3.0, 8GB - about 480€
- ASUS ROG Strix GeForce GTX 1080 Advanced, 8GB - about 600€
- ASUS Turbo GeForce GTX 1080, TURBO-GTX1080-8G, 8GB - about 530€
- Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1080 Windforce OC, 8GB - about 550€

Mainboard: MSI Z170A SLI Plus good or is there something better/cheaper? I need to buy it somewhere in Austria (https://geizhals.at/msi-z170a-sli-plus-7998-001r-a1325714.html?hloc=at)

PSU: What PSU would you use? I would prefer using one PSU instead of 2..

EthOS possible with Nvidia GPUs? I wouldn´t like to buy win10...

Hope someone can help me getting the most MH/s for 20k EURO.

Haris

Build one 1070 rig first. doesn't matter how many cards. just build one first.

Nvidia are much easier to run than AMD. At least for me.

I find it astounding the number of newbies pouring vast sums into mining gear who actually expect to get a return on their investment.  It's obvious they haven't researched this enough to understand what "mining difficulty" means and how drastically it will affect their future revenue.  It is extremely unlikely you will be able to make any profit at all in a few months unless your electric cost is 10 cents or less per kwh.  Looking solely at past profits is in no way a predictor of future returns.  On the contrary the are ample reasons to suspect future profits will be significantly less and rapidly reducing to the point of making a loss.

They don't seem to understand that the huge recent profits are a glitch that is already starting to correct and such correction will most assuredly accelerate.

Hi,

I have MSI Gaming 3X 1080: http://mylifegadgets.com/GTX1080
Does about 750mh/s DGB-Skein @ 180W.
1080TI (http://mylifegadgets.com/GTX1080TI) Will do 915mh/s @ 180W but costs a lot more. (1080TI does ethereum about 31-34mh/s?)

For motherboards i use this: http://mylifegadgets.com/MSIZ170A with latest BIOS updated.

For PSU i would suggest: http://mylifegadgets.com/EVGAGOLD

No need to use ethOS for mining skein, just simple guidance http://mylifegadgets.com/setup-ethmonitoring-miner-software/ with monitoring and all done.

Thanks for the info mate.. i know enough about mining difficulty and electric costs are about 6 Cent.. I didn't ask about opinions on mining.. just asked for the most profitable system i can get for 20k..

Both MSI and Palit have got very good cooling solutions. You should definitely check them out. Palit is also one of the cheapest cards manufacturer and comes with 3y warranty.

Build 7-GPU Polaris rigs (RX 480/470 or their rebrands), this setup should yield the best hashrates for the money, if you can get your hands on those cards.

i have 6 x ASUS Turbo GeForce GTX 1070, i bought them for the 3 year warranty.

my psu is the RM1000i 80+ Gold Modular PSU i am sure you would need ore powerful, but really quiet.

biggest problem for me is temp, keeping them under 80 degrees c as the temp is 30 degrees. undervolting seems to work, not much effect on hash rate.

ethereum is profitable at moment with decred also many other better proftablity options with nvidia and better lower consumption than amd cards. i mine a few coins, zcash, lbry, sibcoin, ethereum either convert to btc or hold.

my rig cost about 3.5k usd(high prices in uk) and returns around 700-800 usd a month.

if you get msi they have a cashback until the 30th june fyi.
