There seems to be some variation in what people are doing.

Guys like Philip Ma are doing two 1080 Ti's and a 1070 mini.

Others are doing 8 Ti on a z270A mobo.

What are some of your favorite builds.  Which motherboard are you using.  Which model of card?  What are the pros and cons of your build?

I haven't found a efficient way to use the 1080ti.
ETH hashrate is low, about 35 MH/S. DGB-skein hashrate is high, about 950 MH/S, but the price of GDB becomes lower, any ideas? Which coin do you mine using the 1080ti?

Zcash is one of the best coins to mine with NVIDIA GPU's, including the 1080 Ti.

zec baby

2 1080 ti's and 1 1070 itx   gets you 1700 or 1800 zec at 550 watts

these builds are like a 5 or 6 card rx 480/rx580
riser free
and if you use the gigabyte z270  mobo down the road it can go to 5 cards with risers.

Philipma1957, which are your favorite mobos to use for your 2 1080ti, 1 1070 itx build?

What do you think the best ones would be for five or more 1080 ti?

1080ti build require almost two psu, or a very expensive one, i like to have 6 x 1070 now, however in my gaming rig i've put 2 x 1080ti, because i need density there, i'm using the old asrock h81 pro btc as a MB

I mine skein or equihash with 6x1080 Ti on Asus Prime Z270-A rigs.
Maybe I'll try 7 or 8 gpus at some point.

Minimum 150-160w per card. I don't remember the power usage at the wall as I did measurements with different numbers of cards.
You might want a bigger PSU as skein is sometimes worth running at 180-200w per card.

On yiimp I see as high as 280w on the 1080ti.

Depending on your electricity price the sweetspot might be a lot lower.  Hashrates are still very high in the low 200w's.
