That press release is a response to Bitcoin Unlimited, a failed hard fork attempt and not for Segwit, which is a soft fork. Though their stance is probably the same.

"hard fork and soft fork" - dont have realy any difference, with hard forck old client reject frock`s blockchain immediately, with soft frock old client reject forck`s blockchain after spent from new style transactions (about 5 blocks)

Not much would be change if Segwit is not activate and would be a win-win if it do.

Anything could really happen, we can't know for sure. Bitcoin price might see a huge drop, or it might see a growing interest among people causing the price to raise.. Altcoins price aswell, might go up or down being partially dependant on the bitcoin's value.
But again, no real way to know; we'll need to wait and see

Whether there will be uproar or even a pump no one can say for sure as we can only predict. Although, there is a believe that when there is positive outlook for bitcoin, it therefore means a positive one for ALT as well but this may not always hold as there have been situations that have negate that position. All I can say is that we just all wait for the implementation to happen and that is when we can then all strategize and take the next decision.

bitcoin will not go down for sure from now, so don't worry, it can only go up, and with segwit will go up even more, at best will remain with this price, which is still good for now, and when the value increase altcoin will increase too

If the segwit will be activated and the more demand will be back to the bitcoin itself. but I think if it can't be activated and the bitcoin network will be bloeated and the more demands going outside from using bitcoin as primer payment method.
