Hey,

I am looking to invest on the major Masternode coins such as Dash, Chain, PIVX etc.

So for example if 10,000 coins is needed for a Masternode is that have to be on the coin official wallet? or I can keep it on the exchange wallet and Masternode will work?

you'll need to host the coins yourself or have a masternode service do it, an exchange doesn't provide this service, yet.

There are tons of coins out there with masternode support, but you need to invest a ton of money unless you get in at the beginning.

You should always keep your coins in your wallet, forget about exchanges or you will lose your money sooner or later.

Poswallet will add support to masternodes in july so that is an opportunity to host a masternode in a coin that even if it got tons of FUD and crashed, I think it eventually pump again (not sure how many coins you need to run it tho)

what i know is that you need the original client to run one masternodes, just download the wallet and run it, here you have full explanation how to run one,
"Masternodes are computers that run a dash wallet and make decisions, such as locking transactions with InstantSend, coordinate mixing of coins, and voting on budget funding. Masternodes are required to have 1000 Dash collateral, a dedicated IP address, and be able to run 24 hours a day without a more than a 1 hr connection loss. Masternodes get paid 45% of the block reward on every block, which is distributed to masternodes one at a time.  Typically, around 2 dash is paid to each masternode every 7 days"

You can take a look at Wagerr. Their ICO will be over soon, good time to buy tokesn for masternode.
For Wagerr you need 25000 tokens to be able to run a masternode which at the current ICO rate would be 25000*0.09=$2250.

If you keep on exchange wallet, you will not receive stake, only use PoS wallet of Masternode for receive stake from keep in wallet, but I not know masternode have it or not! You can seach in google and find PoS wallet for masternode, good luck Wink

Thank you for the detailed answer!

How about we make a list of coins with masternodes and their min. entrance?

For example, ChainCoin require 1,000 coins for Masternode (currently worth $80)

There are ongoing and upcoming coins with masternodes and I cannot find anywhere a proper list with detailed info on each of the coins that support the m-nodes..

Credits (CRDS) has started just 2 days ago and it needs only 500 coins for a MN.
The current price (provided by the dev team) is about $1 per coin

We dont need to make it - somebody made it before us Cheesy Go to masternodes.pro
Here you can see not only entrance worth, but cureent price of currency, current ROI(with graph), quantity of masternodes and many more. Very useful resource Smiley
But I dont even know what is easier - masternodes or minig..
