Speculations are coming that a new coin is going to replace the Ethereum.
A coin with a heavy backbone, capable of bring a shift to investors. Anybody has a clue if there is any truth in such a scenario.

There's no such thing as replacing coins in crypto.
Every single coin since Bitcoin, was created to try and do something better and eventually replace Bitcoin.
No major coins will be replaced overnight.

Sidechains in Bitcoin can do everything Ethereum can hundred times faster as not clogging the main chain.
It is not A new coin replacing Ethereum, but lots of new coins. There is no way around the change to Pos is unavoidable, it is designed to do so. To create and maintain non minable coin/token is very cheap. Come on tell me why I should stake into someone else's pocket and not into mine.

But if there will be a fusion between two major coins, instead of replacement? Why we can't consider in next future that, for example, Bitcoin and Ethereum will do a fusion and make one new strongest and smartest platform?? The two devs team will work together to unify the strongest part of the two coin.... fantasy? ![Huh](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/huh.gif) may be

There are actually too many coins around, too many platforms that could promise good but which are little known or supported ... The single user often fails to stay behind all of them and is likely to underestimate the coin that could promise good, choosing to invest instead in one that has no future or worse then turns out to be a scam It would be nice that the best developers would join in to give the good old bitcoin a nice renewal and new lifeblood ... But for now I know it's just utopia

Every coin claims to be the most innovative thing around and to skyrocket above all the others eventually. Since many coins claimed to be the bitcoin killer and no one did, now they are claiming to be the Ethereum killer or some other thing.
Of course almost 100% won't replace or compete with any coin, and some are outright scams.

Are you sure , that what you are saying . Here eth take about 3-4 years to make himself as a powerful coin with his technology , since there was many ocoims which were not much popular and stable but after the ETH technology and trust with the owner of the ETH . So How they can make or anyone can make a new coin to get against the ETH , here The eth was facing some technical problem only for small time ,and after that you are saying these things are not good . And you ask this question to those people who are making daily profit in the ETH by 4-5% daily without any risk . Here I can bet with anyone that after the Bitcoin we can trust with the ETH , DASH , ripple and after this another coins . So here I don't think that even with the new and better technology coin can replace eth after the launching soon . Any coin enter in this field will surely need 2-3 years to grow and to know by everyone and trust is a big thing that is not easy to get for every coin , that ETH have .

Every single coin since Bitcoin, was created to try and do something better and eventually replace Bitcoin.
Every single coin since Bitcoin was created to make the creator rich. Anybody who feels he was too late to join Bitcoin, starts his own coin and pumps it until he owns millions or billions of dollars. Ethereum was the most successful altcoin in making it's creator the biggest amount of money. Let me say again: altcoins are now called shitcoins, and smartcontracts will be called shitcontracts. There is no need for them to justify any price increase. Sidechains in Bitcoin can do everything Ethereum can hundred times faster as not clogging the main chain.
I have high hopes for sidechains too. It would be great to handle all small transactions offchain.
