The Bytom Team Takes Home the Second Prize in the 2nd Cosmos Hackathon

Guo Guanghua and Xu Liucheng, two developers of the Bytom team won the second prize of Cosmos Hackathon competition on Sept 15 with a reward of 10,000 dollars, which represents the best achievement a Chinese team has gained in the competition.
Cosmos aims to build a network of interoperable ledgers to host multi-assets and blockchains.

The competition brought together some big figures of Tendermint in the judges’ seats: CEO Jae Kwon, Co-founder Ethan Bushman and CSO Jim Yang.

The Bytom team put forward a technical model Chainmint that is based on Tendermint consensus and combined with UTXO and CVM system, which serves as a cross-chain Cosmos Zone. In short:

The idea of Chainmint stood out from over 100 competitors and  was highly-appreciated by judges.

I've been trying to create a new account on bter but the registration page keeps saying that new account creation has been disabled due to high load. It's been like this for 3 weeks now! It seems you don't know that all Chinese exchanges will be closed by CCP government.

Ah, I wasn't fully aware BTER was chinese. Anywho, why is the volume and price of BTM still increasing on BTER if its just going to get shut down soon? Why not use cryptopia?

Edit: After I recently posted this BTER went from 62% volume down to 55%, so I guess people are making the switch now?

Regarding BTER, interesting information. Although this is Chineese exchange, it works under jurisdiction of British Virgin Islands. They suspended some operations, but there is no evidence, that this exchange will be completely closed.  I am very satisfied with this exchange, and do hope, that this "dust" in China will go down after the end of October (After Chinese communist party congress).

Yes, sounds good. I'm hodl'ing bags on so many alt coins right now I can't even remember what got me to drop a few eth on Bytom this summer. I'm just glad their future looks very bright. I wish they'd get back on Binance or maybe listed on Bittrex so I can buy some more!

The only prob I have is that now that my BTM is safe in MEW I can't seem to get it out. No hurry, I'll figure it out by the time BTM hits $3.00.

Development progress:

1. [dev] improve bytomcore and bytomcli function, add the wallet API, and accomplish the integration test.


2. [dev] debug bytomcore and P2P modules, add the TxPool transaction broadcast function, complete multi-node block consensus synchronous test.

3. [dev] modify the mining algorithm loopholes , complete the mining algorithm window mechanism, which will be more in line with the actual requirements of AI chip computing. Increase the computational process using a prime table to solve the problem of periodic problems that may cause the invalidation of random numbers in the block header.

4. [dev] solve the bug of accessToken (access control token) in branch code, debug the package management issues of test code.

5. [Main] establish and maintain the Demo branch, solve the conflicts of several branches emerging which will be used for the release of this version.

6. [issue] solve the problem of asset publishing and node mining problem that’s related to the compatibility of historical version, and we are still tracking and updating.

7. [fix] solve the block stored procedure due to the characteristics of the j language caused by json codec data can not be saved to the leveldb problem. To solve the problem than the original chain demo can not submit transactions, and continue to follow up to promote the demo test.

8. [res] update the lightning network channel and exchange the old version, analyze principle of multi-transaction. Start writing readme document of Alpha1.

Why are you guys using the ticker BTM if the ticker BTM was already refering to Bitmark? Really confusing now and customizations to API's have been and still need to be done because of it.
