Another noob question

Ftcs were up to 45 cents yesterday. It's dropped to 18 cents today. http://feathercoinprice.com  my question is what's more the reason for the drop, btcs dropping or difficulty?

FTC was being used as what is called a "Pump and Dump" scheme. The entire purpose was to trick cryptocurrency newcomers into buying an otherwise worthless coin. Its price was purposely inflated, then people thinking it will go even higher start buying into a coin dump. What you end up with is a select few walking away with a lot of real money and the masses left with bags of worthless coins. I don't know why the community keeps falling for it. Altcoins aren't even trying to hide it anymore. See: Chinacoin

The price of FTC may one day rise again (or not at all), so you might as well keep the coins you have, unless you feel you really need to sell them.

I could trade my FTC coins to ltc right? Ltc is doing ok so I guess I'm just asking my it dropped. If its pump and dump but the difficulty remains and btcs prices stay, eventually ftcs will come back no?

I am not psychic and therefore couldn't tell you if it one day becomes the ultimate coin or dies a quick death by the end of the week. Too many variables to actively predict what is going to happen to such a volatile market.

No really how the hell do you get 500 bitcoins thats alot of money.  I know lots of people with lots of bitcoins but still I would never risk that much on an exchange.

It never ceases to amaze me how many noobs are getting suckered into these P&D's. Your suppose to mine them cheap, then dump them quickly in exchange for decent coins like bitcoin. NOT buy them!  Cheesy

Simple supply and demand. The demand dropped so the price dropped. Get involved in the Feathercoin community and help drive up demand. You can make it into a long term investment 6+ months or cut your losses now.

It makes sence. The popularity, ie Hashrate is good, but the price is just undervalued now

Did you put all your money into feathercoin?!  You should really diversify what you're holding...I hold some FTC, some BQC, some BTC, and some LTC...probably not a great idea to hold everything in one new coin.
Also probably not a great idea to dump a ton of money you can't afford to lose into this stuff, it's frankly plain speculation and some of us will make a crapload of money but a lot of people are gonna lose a crapload of money...put in what you can afford to lose.  Hopefully you could afford to lose 50 grand.

Either way, I'm kinda surprised the price didn't go higher with you pumping in 500 BTC...did you buy them all at once?!
