I still don`t get it.What`s the point of having a bitcoin debit card?
Can you use it somewhere to buy stuff offline with your bitcoins?
Are there any merchants that accept such bitcoin debit cards?
Is it more secure than just holding your bitcoins on a paper wallet?
I just don`t understand why the forum members here continue to ask about btc debit/credit cards.

The point to have a card loaded with bitcoin is... guess what, spend your bitcoin like you spend your money euh
Yes you can use it offline and online like any traditionnal card. You can use it at the supermarket, ATM, ect
It is very rare to see your card refused, most of the time it is because the card is not issued from your country so for paying mobile line you may get refused, for exemple. It happened to me only once (when i wanted to pay a mobil bill) and i use it more than my tradittonnal card
you don't hold bitcoins on the card, you exchange the bitcoin with dollar, euros ot gbp in your account and then load the card with the funds exchanged
Forum members continue to ask because there is a huge interest with using those king of cards

For the OP
You won't see much differences
All those cards are near the same, with near the same fees and the same conditions. As it is issued by the same company. The difference is the support you can get from the wallet services. For exemple I would prefer get support from Cryptopay than Coinbase, wich is non existant yeah i know coinbase doesn't have card but you get the idea)

It's because then you can use your Bitcoins for buying real stuff and services ofline and online not to worry if merchant accepts Bitcoins or not. These are usualy Visa or Master cards that are accepted everywhere in the world. And this is also the easiest way to get fiat money because you can withdraw cash at ATMs.
It's funny how people such a long time after Bitcoin debit cards are available are still asking these questions.

And the funny thing is that you haven't answered yet .. why?
Why would you entrust a 3rd party with your coins.
Why would you use a card that actually converts your coins to fiat every time you make a purchase (that's not paying with bitcoins).
Why would you use a card that has fees twice or 3 times as much as the normal fiat cards.
Why take all the risks and the extra cost?

I would go for the most well known brand out there  Tongue ---> https://xapo.com/card/ ...It basically works at all merchants that accepts VISA cards.

There is a cost involved : https://support.xapo.com/what-fees-are-associated-with-the-xapo-debit-card/view=faq .... To upgrade your card, you

have to jump through a bunch of KYC/AML requirements, but the higher limits are worth it.  Grin

I am using two cards one from cryptopay (physical one) and one from UQUID (VCC). Both cards are working without any problem, but I mostly use uquid for facebook promotion and I haven't got any problem till now there. Talking about the physical one from cryptopay, I have used it several times to withdraw bitcoin from my local ATM and it works but I am not happy with different types of fee all these visa cards have when withdrawing out from ATM.

The short answer, Convenience; humans value convenience way more than rationale or reason in my personal experience.. Maybe the guy has a lucrative BTC business that he doesn't wish to convert to Fiat, there's an endless amount of reasons "why", so it seems kind of silly to ask.

I've never used any of the bitcoin debit card or any card related to the cryptocurrency network. Once got the chance of getting an bitcoin from a signature campaign for the one who register to it. This has been provided with limitations in usage as well limitations in the locality.

From real experience, I did use coinizy before. But I think they changed name to kardizy. It's still the same but I didn't like how they just changed name just like that so I didn't use it again.

Though when I used it, I never had a problem with it when I purchased something online. I think I did use it to buy a domain on godaddy and never had a problem purchasing anything using it.

Great Topic!  I am also very curious.  I am in the usa and I just got a bitpay card.  I haven't set it up yet.  I hope to try it out grocery shopping, paying bills etc.  There is a coinbase one "the shift card" that I decided against trying (I con't like coinbase).  Apparently I can't get xapo being in the usa but would to try some others.  I'll check back after I use the bitpay one.  Smiley

Is the spectrocoin debit card is trustable more than xapo or advcash. I don't think so because I have noticed the spectrocoin have negative trust in the forum for transaction and fund issue as trust notes says. I suggest you try to get a card in xapo, I know the fees in high but reliable and efficient for the users.

Their are some company which are issuing the bitcoin debit card but i am unlucky because they are not supporting my country , i am just waiting that one day they will also issue to my country also.

I have both Bitpay and Shift.  I haven't funded my Bitpay card yet because I think it has higher fees than Shift. I've been using my Shift card when the value of Bitcoins are up, and then use cash/regular credit cards when Bitcoin goes down in value.  The Shift card interfaces directly with Coinbase and it has a really nice app that tell you the amount of purchase and the value of Bitcoins at the time of purchase.  I don't have a lot stored Bitcoin value in Coinbase and I'm aware that many users have had issues with them.  It's still a great feeling when paying for groceries/dinner with something other than fiat currency.  I've had the Shift card for about a month and haven't had any issues at all.

Spectrocoin are decent enough and their fees are not too bad although they have had some negative reviews they have been okay so far.  Cryptopay are currently offering free physical cards if you can find their thread, I am waiting to see how they are once the card comes.

All of them have the same limit for unverified accounts so be vigilant that you don't have money stuck on a card that you can't use because you are waiting 10 days to get verified.

I have experience with https://advcash.com/en/ they are great so far haven't had any problems. You don't need to give out your IDs (which I like) to be able to use it. But if you verify your ID your limits are higher. You can top up the advcash wallet with bitcoin directly or can use some 3rd party exchange such as changer or paybis.

Drawback is that you are not able to send funds directly to your card, rather you can only do that through their wallet. Sending money to your card costs 1 $/€.

Virtual Card : 1$/€
Plastic Card : 5 $/€(1st 7days of account creation) 15$/€ later on

Yes, Monaco seems to be as something I ll definitely look into. I think they ll start issuing cards in August.

Besides that, XAPO is definitely an option, Swiss located but a bit pricey and Spectrocoin.

Not sure about Advcash, I see their address is Belize, ugh!
