I'm planning on download a Bitcoin client, and was just wondering what everyone's suggestion would be for a client for a Macbook Pro. Thanks for the help.

protip: ALWAYS use OFFICIAL clients...
or blockchain.info's wallet...

i would never trust any other clients/wallets in all honesty... especially if you decide to go for a mobile wallet... for some reason EVERY ltc/btc wallet for android seems so sketch... not sure why I feel that way... so i just use official clients on all desktops/laptops, and import privkey to blockchain

I'm not aware of any "official" clients.  Is there a bitcoin corporation that is in charge of bitcoin and releases a list of which clients are "official"?  I thought this was an open-source decentralized project?

That being said, I'd suggest that you look at the following wallets. Which would be best for you really depends on your personal needs:

Armory
Bitcoin-Qt
Electrum
MultiBit

I second bitcoin-qt... works well for me. Now if only someone would compile the btbcoin-qt, mncoin-qt, chncoin-qt, and ppcoin-qt clients for Mac, we'd be in business! ;-)
