You know the drill--trying to get my post count up as I've been logged in for 4+ hours.
I often visit the forums, and have for some time, but felt no interest in getting involved with discussions. I saw the site purely as a source for information. It's always interesting to have a change of perspective.
I've been a minor investor of the bitcoin for a couple years now; though, most of my use of bitcoins has been for online purchases. I made quite a bit of money in the bubble last month from previous holding investments, exploited the market afterward during the crash (which I feel guilty and stupid for), and ended up driving myself insane refreshing pages and making speculations to make a quick buck in the weeks that followed. Greed is a devious imp. I came out ahead but I did not enjoy my behavior nor was the money I made worth the stress. I had been pondering the set up of a bitcoin mining rig for about a year but never took the plunge (I regret that choice these days); I've decided to not make that mistake again.
I've recently gotten into Litecoin mining, using my bitcoin profits, with a rig holding three 7950's. I'm upgrading it this week to hold a total of five (meaning a PSU upgrade and some more cards/risers). By the end of May, I plan to invest in my second rig, also with five 7950's. I feel this will be enough power for my investment level and will most likely stop (unless this turns into a crazed addiction).
I'm a Computer Science major (my last class is completed this summer).
Nice to meet you all!
