Recently I have noticed huge changes in fees for depositing USD..

One to mention here is,
BTC-e now has a deposit fee of 7.5% for perfect money.
Before 7.5% they had 5.5% which was few days ago also available.

Don't you think that the deposit fee is totally unnecessary?
For me, withdrawing fees make sense. But why deposit fee? And why it is so high?

Please share your opinions..

Usually the deposit fee is free or near zero but 7.5% is really a lot.
SEPA transfers in kraken and in bitsmap the deposits are completely free but withdrawal fee makes sense (it's low).

this is normal for btc-e.
They always have very high fee and they change it quite often.
So always check actual fees before doing anything at btc-e

For me even 1% isn't good fee but what we have to do? We have to stop using their service or agree high fees and continue. What about to find someone who wants to exchange btc/perfectmoney in lower rate? For example he/she will deposit usd in your adress and than you'll send him/her btc. (or use btc deposit if they have).

Nice thread about exchanges fees. It makes sense to pay fees when we do withdrawal, but I don't agree about deposit fees as well even though there are some exchanges apply this rule. I agree to stop their service as I ever stopped using one of those kind of exchange. However, if there's no any other option (exchange) to deposit or withdrawal your fiat currency, then you should let it go  Cheesy

did something happen with Perfect money, like did they scam anyone?

because it is not just btc-e, the other day I wanted to transfer some fiat and test things and I saw c-cex have also increased the fees regarding Perfect money to ridiculous numbers, I think it was also 10%! I completely gave up the idea, these fees are not worth the trouble.

I feel this to be quite common, because each has got its own service charge. In such a manner perfect money has placed their deposit fee and if you consider other such services too, you'll be having the same deposit fee. Might vary a small not that low in my opinion.

because you transfer funds to exchange, the 3rd-party processor (perfectmoney) will charge a fee.

for example, you transfer 100 to me, but I only received 95, the fee is 5.

if you withdraw, exchange will charge you a fee, ortherwise they can't live. and in order to avoid the withdrawal fee is too abrupt, thay have to disperse a few fees into the deposit cost.

above example, you deposit 100, and fund your account 95 balance, exchange has not yet charged your fees so far. but when you withdraw, you will be charge 10, and the 3rd-party processor (perfectmoney) will charge 5,  and finally received 80.

enter 100 and exit 80, if exchange do not dismember the cost, you will see the 20% fee of withdraw!! but in fact exchange just charge you 10, the other half is not in their bowl. so almost exchange will shift part of the fee to deposit.

the same example, exhcange will charge you 5 both deposit and withdraw, then you will see you are charged 10%. this looks very comfortable.

Seriously this not fair why we should pay to deposit our coins in their website. Already they are charging a high amount for transfer money and withdraw our money. Now they started to collect a fee for deposit. Better stop using those sites who are collecting money from you for depositing your coins. We have many exchanges to keep our coins that without taking any deposit fees.

As per I know about perfectmoney is "the sender pays the transaction fee which is 1.95% and if the accounts are verified than the fee is 0.5%"

So if I want to send $100 than I must have a balance of $101.95 in my account. But if I have only $100 then I have to minus the fee and send the amount.

In btc-e case, If I send $100 by paying 1.95% fee, then btc-e will deduct another 10% and will add $90 to my account. So in total 11.95% as fee.
The exchange is not receiving any short fund, for which they need to take 10% deposit fee. We are paying the 3rd party fee..

Btc-e or c-cex or which ever the exchange is just robbing us in the form of depositing fees.

An exchange is already taking trading fees (0.20%) for every trade we execute and they also takes withdrawal fees..

But in my opinion, all exchanges are robbing us in the form of depositing fee.

Point that people here don't seem to understand, is that each exchange and service that people here are regularly using, is a business that is only in the game to make profit.

Admittedly, 10% is insane, but no one is forcing you to use x exchange or service ~ they provide a certain platform with various features, and we are free to choose which of these platforms is worth the fees they charge.

Fact is, that no credible exchanges make use of payment services such as Perfect Money ~ that says something......

BSV is not the real Bcash. Bcash is the real Bcash.

The best solution is to not use services of these exchanges which charge too high fees. There are a lot of other and better exchanges.
It is also most often not favourable to use third party service. It is the best to transfer money directly from your bank account to exchange's (or their payment processor's) bank account.

Last time when I deposited money to xbtce their price list was stating fee for deposit was "bank fee" (practically 19 EUR). Two days after I sent my deposit they changed their bank deposit fee to 1% and 10 minutes after this change they credited my money with 1% fee applied (which was much more than expected 19 EUR). It is ridiculous that they change fees with immediate effect without prior notice. Anyway after several messages of negotiating with their support they returned the difference to my account so I paid only expected 19 EUR.

Anyway, I believe gemini, gdax, bistamp, kraken, itbit and more exchanges charge reasonable fees for USD bank transfers.

deposit fee Btc-e fiat money is very big
if deposit use fiat money is good in poloniex, kraken, bitfinex use USDT i think without fee

if you want fiat money use transer wire, bitstamp , coinbase , only charge sending fee in transfer wire

Same here. I saw c-cex increase their fees. It doesn't seem to be an isolated event at all.

I think maybe it's got something to do with OKPay getting bought out by Moneypolo. And OKPay obviously is a big part of the currency exchange biz, even if you are using perfectmoney you could well be dealing with OKPay along the way.

Now they have asked every single user to verify themselves to continue using their services, otherwise their balance will remain locked. This has resulted in a lot of exchanges OKPay payment option being either stopped or defunct, or a bigger fee is added because of the possibility of chargebacks. I can only imagine that PM fees are increased alongside OKPay's.

Bitcoin is considered best because of its low fees, usually deposit fees are very low around 0.05% to 0.13% or 0.20%. If you are getting asked to pay big amount like 7.5% that’s a lot comparing to all other deposit fees. You should try someplace else to deposit you money. Sometimes third part processors charge some money but you can avoid that by selecting ither methods
