As many of you know china like doing copy-cat in everything. They dont use google but baidu(chinese copy) they copy everything like phones, cars, tv, even military tanks, airplanes. So why the hell they use bitcoins not they own copy-cat CCNCoin, ChinaCoin or whatever they name it?

Once a transaction has 6 confirmations, it is extremely unlikely that an attacker without at least 50% of the network's computation power would be able to reverse it.

The only reasoning behind doing so that I can imagine would be to try and somehow regulate the price nationwide. Other than that, what benefit would a worldwide payment service be if it was only mined and exchanged and trusted inside China? They'd be throwing away valuable market exposure.

It's not mined "just inside China."  ChinaCoin = just another name.

I never said anything about "ChinaCoin", I was answering the general question which was "Why don't the Chinese just make their own coin?".

My mistake--I thought the topic was "China Coin," and it's "China" coin.  Early for me...

Because it would be just another pointless altcoin?  Bitcoin has value that can be used to trade outside of China - its why I originally got interested in Bitcoin.  There is no way some local altcoin can be used the same way.

Step 1: Create another pointless alt-coin
Step 2: Call it 'ChinaCoin' and put some Chinese writing on the main website
Step 3: ? ? ? ?
Step 4: Profit

I bet they won't do that. The motivation of copying is PROFIT. They will want to own btc because that's what the world has, and that's where the profit is.

Because most of us are not stupid and will not spend our money on some crappy altcoins simply because the letters "CHN" are included in its name.

You seem to know nothing about either Bitcoin or Ponzi scheme, not worth my time.

"We are just fools. We insanely believe that we can replace one politician with another and something will really change. The ONLY possible way to achieve change is to change the very system of how government functions. Until we are prepared to do that, suck it up for your future belongs to the madness and corruption of politicians."
