This is not really unusual. You can check the charts and see for yourself. This is normal in most altcoins and even in bitcoins. The volatility doesn't stop at just -10%. Some of them even drop by 20% in an hour. I would advise you to try and predict the bottom of that dump and buy from there. Though I would be hard if you are inexperienced.

That's the problem with some people.  They just speculate with no regard for fundamentals at all.
Previous dips recently have been brief lapses in this crazy bull market we're in, and have meant nothing even when being dips of >20%.

However this time a significant majority of hashrate had started signalling for SegWit x 2 (well signalling that they will signal for it when they need to).  This makes the promise of low transaction fees on Ethereum meaningless.  It doesn't mean that Ether will crash because people are just ignoring any real events, but it does mean that Ether will become irrelevant from the perspective of a currency.

Most cryptocurrencies other than Bitcoin are in the red right now.  I would have shorted major alts when SegWit x 2 started being signalled, but it's a bit late now to tell how far it'll go.

Just sit tight and watch the market move.  You'll probably find that Bitcoin goes up a lot in the next month or two.

It's mostly a correction but consider that there are lots of people that are involved in ethereum mining based on the hardware market where there are lots of requests buying the motherboards, GPUs, PSUs. If you want to sell then I would advice to hold but if you need to buy then it's not a bad moment to buy as the price has been dropped a lot.

I'm crypto world, prices being down by 10% is not surprising. Because of lacking of legality ang proper laws and regulations and transparencies to transactions as well as government trusts, the prices here depends on the people here so that's why no proper institution to regulate the price and the varying prices is always to be expected in a few more years, it maybe go down deep or soar high. Buy what you can afford and hold what you can afford to lose.

I won't consider it as a correction when the eth price dropped down to 25% or so.
It could be the real dump and won't bounce back or corrected , i confident with my own analysis.
I see yeaaa a lot of people start planning and building miner to mine eth since last month and it is affected the market a little at least.

You are right, this may be a correction, but there is also speculation elsewhere that coinbase has been hacked.I dont think it is true, but there is some dumping of eth right now prompted by this rumour.

actually this was long waited correction as the price went so high and who ever bought in low was to book profit but in that time coinbase rumour came and it crashed more then what correction was expected. but now the market is getting back to normal and the price is rising up.

Every furious pump needs a correction. No way it will just go up. If you think that this is a good time to buy Etherium then it's up to you. Questions like this is being raised too many times in bitcoin. Did you guys really believes that anyone here can tell you the exact thing do? Price movement is unpredictable and you must know that. Read all the speculations around so that you can make your own decision.

The price of Etherium still seems very high to me. It is still around $300 per coin. I would not buy at prices that high. There is room for it to drop further. Or even shift money to cheaper coins if you feel the need to invest in something until we see a larger drop in price.

I think you can buy ethereum but with just a small amount. Nobody knows if its going up or down. There's two thing that might happen. It could go up and you miss buying it and it's too expensive now or it dumps and luckily you bought on that dip.

This is the great time to buy opportunity. I don't think ethereum's support would let it dump more. However, there is also a possiboity that it can dump more yet it's hard to distinguish. Let's just be optimistic in ethereum since I belive that this is just a great time to buy it cheaper.

Of course it is affected and it's affected a lot, I don't remember that there is a massive request of gpus in the market, and suddenly the price of the GPUs has been increased a lot but seeing the potential that these have sometimes it worth even buying at a price of +50% of the normal price.

I think yes its best time to buy almost every altcoin that are in red right now, this is just the usual correction after a huge pump. I don't think ETH's price will go down to 0.05BTC or even 0.10BTC in near future. 0.20BTC after this correction looks really easy.
