Right now in France there is a great debate around the bitcoin. Many people predict huge multiplications of the price of the bitcoin. I found an article in a serious French newspaper that predicted a price of 500k $ of 1BTC in 2030 !
In your opinion, is it imaginable?

Bitcoin is designed in a way that it will never stop going up as long as there is demand for it, and in 2030 the total supply becomes almost reached:



As you can see, the curve becomes almost a straight line. The price should be very, very high in 2030 if the demand is meet. Luckily, we are still early on, notice how in 2017 there is still a nice angle. The more straight the line becomes the higher the price (and the harder to accumulate).

Well, it can be very possible though personally I don't like this trend of predicting what can be the price of Bitcoin at a certain date. We all can speculate but only time can tell if our predictions are correct or will remain just imaginary.

Don't get me wrong because I also have my own little stock of Bitcoin and I would be happy if one day its worth can already be in  the million vicinity. However, to get there Bitcoin can experience some turbulence as personally there is no prefect cryptocurrency.

If course that is doable. As long as adoption grows. bitcoin is in a finite number so if demand rise, the price will rise because there will be "not enough" supply.

It is very imaginable but the question is, will it be a reality?

13 years is a very long time and who would know, right? Bitcoin might not reach that amount, might reach that amount, or might surpass that amount on that year. No one is certain. Yes, it is promising that Bitcoin will achieve that great heights. I do hope Bitcoin goes there. I just wish that I have more than a Bitcoin when that comes.

  In 2030 If the demand will be relatively the same the supply will be nil casing which will rarify the bitcoin.
I think it's time to invest in the bitcoin prices will only go up.

Very interesting as a topic, why not? Who knows what the BTC will be worth in 15 years? Will it be more present in our purchases? So many unanswered questions, for now I prefer to keep my Bitcoins.

2030 is still a long way ahead in which I believe its achievable considering the various development and discussions  is going in currently this is something we are all hoping and wish it could turn out well and by 2030 I can just be appreciative that I got in 13 years earlier.

I think that the only condition for this is a reality is that the demand is the same or grows. Personally I believe a lot in this currency that will conquer countries and take advantage of the new market places.

Why will it cease to exist by this time? I believe that people will increasingly doubt the banking system that begins to show its limits ... So will invest on the cryptocorrency including the bitcoin.

Yes that is good news and good fundamental for bitcoins, bitcoins will be $500.000 by 2030
if the comunity of bitcoins never become two because of the bitcoins hard fork,
must there are other ways to fix the bitcoins network except bitcoins hard fork that will keep ecosystem of bitcoins in one.

I guess if everything works out perfectly bitcoin can indeed archive that amount of value by 2030. But there are many influancial factors which we don't know will corespond with the value of BTC and cryptocurrency. There hasn't been a major financial crisis since 2008 and no bigger war for a long time just to name two. But I strongly belive that bitcoin multiplied it's value many time by the year 2030.

It's an interesting prediction, but I find the farther away each prediction is, there is an exponentially greater chance that the prediction is off. First off, when are we hitting 10,000? The Clif High prediction is a good start.

I hope you are right but what if bitcoin got surpass by another crypto currency would it still be worth that high,
I mean that is a long way to go so there could be a possibilities that some one could develop some crypto currency that could surpass bitcoin.

Good initiative, in 15 years remains to be seen what would be worth $ 100,000 in everyday life. Purchasing power will also play a role.

Before 2030 there will be explosive rises of bitcoin but I dont think 500000$ ... but you are right with the adoption of the bitcoin there will be greater demand what will influence the prices of bitcoin upward

Even a big crisis will not influence the course of the bitcoin, since the supply and demand applies to the bitcoin, I think that if there is a crisis the bank system will collapse and all this will benefit the bitcoin.

If the conditions remain the same, Y will have a big boom in prices around 2021-2022, personally I'm sure that it will exceed the $ 10,000 if the conditions remain the same. With the recognition of the bitcoin the demand goes great so prices will climb even faster.

Even if it doesn't, bitcoin is still a much better investment than traditional stocks. If I invest $1000 in the stock market, the typical rate of annual return is usually expected to be 6-8%. So if get 7% return, then after 10 years, my original investment doubles to nearly $2000. So THINK ABOUT IT! Do you think it will take 10 years for bitcoin to double from its current market value? In other words, even if bitcoin is only worth $10k ten years from now, then I'm still doing WAY better with my investment than if I had invested in the stock market.
