Even if it doesn't, bitcoin is still a much better investment than traditional stocks. If I invest $1000 in the stock market, the typical rate of annual return is usually expected to be 6-8%. So if get 7% return, then after 10 years, my original investment doubles to nearly $2000. So THINK ABOUT IT! Do you think it will take 10 years for bitcoin to double from its current market value? In other words, even if bitcoin is only worth $10k ten years from now, then I'm still doing WAY better with my investment than if I had invested in the stock market.

it's true, but it makes Bitcoin seem better (which it is) because the mainstream financial system is such a scam that you barely make any interest on your savings, meanwhile they are lending it out to others when it's not even their money at RIDICULOUS rates.

When $100000 is possible within 5-7years surely 500000$ too is possible but the time may vary from 10-15 years. This prediction was put forth by one among the billionaire bitcoin investor who is much knowledged about bitcoin. So without any calculation he could have not made this prediction. Let's wait and experience the real facts.

That's totally a big value for a single bitcoin. But there's a possibility that after 13 years we will see bitcoin at that year and it's just a matter of supply and demand. Once the demand reached it's highest point, we may even see higher than that speculation. And year by year we are seeing bitcoin's price increase all the time.

That is way too far for a prediction. Its 2017 now and we are at the $3000 mark prediction until now.

I am not a pessimistic guy but still that is a lot of money which could lead to destruction.
There are 21 million coins and that is a lot too.

Who would have said that the bitcoin would arrive at more than $ 2000 at its launch, we all also said "DreamLand".
The bitcoin will be increasingly scarce and the demand will only increase if it settles in and is recognized by countries (something that begins to happen) Except the world war, big stock market crash that will disrupt its market. I think the bitcoin is untouchable.

I saw this on facebook that in 2030 bitcoin could definitely reach that. that's why high profiles people already in bitcoin like bill gates because they knew that bitcoin is so powerful and anytime it can increase and grow. i think in 1 year it makes $500-1000 dollars increase in current price . this is the reason why bitcoin can be popular and be legalized in all countries.

Wow, $500K in just twelve and a half years from now. That's a hard one to swallow. I would be more than happy with even just $50K per bitcoin.

Anyway, what if hypothetically, it was true that bitcoin lasted that long and it's price did reach $500K. Then today's price is a relative steal. Buy two bitcoin today and in 12.5 years, you'll be a millionaire.

I dont think bitcoin will cost 500 k  because that amount is very high I think the highest price of bitcoin maybe is 20,000 dollars. But everything is possible to happen we dont know what is the price of bitcoin in the future. But if you have hundreds of bitcoin for sure you will earn 500k dollras in the future if the bitcoin price is very high. 500k dollars very high amouny but in bitcoin world that amount is little only.

If that's the case then Bitcoin is really a good investment for your future children or grand children, I better start adding more investment with Bitcoin so that my children's kids will live a luxurious life. I believe in this because i have seen Bitcoins potential over the years. And i was  one of the many who became semi rich because of believing to Bitcoin.

I was not expecting much to bitcoin, yes their price was increasing but I think $500,000 was not achieve by bitcoin in 2030. However, maybe $100,000 in 2030 it was possible if the selling of bitcoin in the market was great.

I mean, Snapchat's first investor. That's not just some guy living in his mom's basement(sounds strangely familiar to me), that's probably the investor of the MOST SUCCESSFUL messaging tool of the decade and revolutionised how people use IM.

But still, take it with a grain of salt. Others experts have predicted that bitcoin will drop down to $100, some said it'll be $100k by the end of the year. I mean, predictions are just predictions. $500k does seem a bit hard too achieve.

I would say though that if he changed the figurefrom $500k to $75k, i will root for him all day. By 2030 there would be 3 more halvings that have happened, each halving will bring around a triple in price. $75k is not hard at all.
