Haven't used and heard of such a wallet service provider. So it's good to use the reputed wallet service or the legit exchange websites for holding of litecoin. If not give a try with the bit.ac wallet for the saving of litecoin, which is quite easy to use.

The bitaddress website is a Bitcoin paper wallet generator. It's intended to be used for cold storage of Bitcoins. All it does is generate a Bitcoin private key for you, and optionally encrypts it. To spend coins sent to it you have to import the private key into either blockchain.info or a desktop wallet.

If you read the website it clearly states it's only for Bitcoin, not litecoin.

The equivalent for Litecoin is - https://liteaddress.org/

But as stated above it's for making paper wallets. That won't be practical if you intend to spend regularly. You'd need an active wallet. Paper wallets are best for long term storage mainly.

The best option is a hardware wallet like a Trezor or Ledger Nano as they're the most secure but they cost a fair bit so it depends how much you have.

Never heard of it before nor have any on hand experience of using it. Visited the site and with all the information I could gather, it is legitimate as they provide you the private key. However, if you are looking to lock your bitcoins for some time, you can use it, if you want a wallet for daily use, this is not the proper one.

HI-TEC99 is right, bitaddress.org from the word itself the site/program can only produce or generate a Bitcoin wallet address not a litecoin one. If you want to have a secured litecoin wallet then I can recommend using the electrum wallet for litecoin. Though I never use this wallet since then, but I can make sure that this wallet is secured as like their bitcoin wallet do. You can download it here https://electrum-ltc.org/
For more information, it's a desktop wallet it can only be use on your computer Wink

I have never heard this name of site. Don't ever use any bitcoin online wallet that doesn't have people recommendations of their services, remember one thing, you want to store your money online make sure you choose the safest one.
There's an online wallet (mobile/Android) called coinomi. It's possible to generate bitcoin wallet address, and not only litecoin, it provide more altcoins.

You're Sr member already and it takes months before getting that activity/rank so you should read this somewhere else on this forum but you still didn't hear about this site? Roll Eyes
Bitaddress.org is one of the trusted tools related to Bitcoin if you didn't know or heard about this site then you should. Though it's a trusted tool people are recommending that use the offline of this app, clone it or just download the zip file here https://github.com/pointbiz/bitaddress.org
Anyways there are so many answers already about this topic/question and OP get the answer of his question/s already.
I guess you should lock this thread now to prevent from spam attacks Wink

There are quite a few paper generators for litecoin, at least I have seen them in the past.  If not, try looking on github for a program and see what it takes to get it up and going....or consider not using a paper wallet, there are better ways to get things done.

Go here: https://bitcoinpaperwallet.com/bitcoinpaperwallet/generate-wallet.html

It supports generating paper wallets for BTC, DOGE, LTC and even "CounterParty" aka XCP. Pay attention to the security warnings and make sure you download and use the site offline as instructed at the bottom of the page

Yes bitaddress.org is good site to generate bitcoin paper wallets but for added security you should download their github file and open it in offline computer.

You can easily get litecoin address/private key pair from jaxx wallet which is one of the trusted multicoin wallet out there.

Do you know about the Jaxx wallet ‘vulnerability’ that lead to at least $400,000 of customer's money getting stolen? I wouldn't recommend using it unless that ‘vulnerability’ gets fixed.

Reports are surfacing of a ‘vulnerability’ in Jaxx wallet leading to at least $400,000 customer funds being stolen.

A report on the insufficient wallet backup phrase storage methods this weekend has now updated to include reports that hackers are already exploiting the problem to steal cryptocurrency from users.

After you read the whole article[1], you will come up with the decision of not using this wallet again (most likely). Basically, they have no plans to alter or change the security setup of their wallet. I'd recommend everyone to either stop using this wallet or simply stop storing large amounts.

So far never used bitaddress service but it is good for generating a bitcoin address and paper bitcoin wallet that you can print the service is free.
But i still use well known wallet which is electrum for safety.
And you can use it also if you really want to use only a 1 address to import to other wallet..

It's one of the best client side wallet generation software out there, basically been there since the start of bitcoin or almost.

I'm storing most of my coins in cold storage with private keys generated offline with Bitaddress. Haven't had any thefts nor have I heard any other people having trouble with the service. The best thing about bitaddress is that you can run the script offline, so that you can be sure nobody steals your private keys.

P.S. The url in the title isn't right, thankfully there is a page parked there to prevent phishing sites.

none of these bitcoin wallets are good or safe on their own! you need to take precautions.
- download the source code or in case of other wallets download the binaries from official website and not anywhere else.
- verify their signature to make sure you have downloaded the correct thing and it wasn't compromised
- run them on a clean and preferably offline computer.

if you just open the website in your browser and make a paper wallet online, you might as well lose your money now.

to the moon with bitcoin...
