Yes, I'm running two delegate nodes successfully. There's an issue where the latencies can sometimes be too high and I'm not able to produce blocks for long periods of time. That can also lead to forking, which needs a replay. But I guess that's simply because right now there are not enough nodes around the world. I'd encourage you to set up a delegate node.

I'm using a VPS too. Plenty of Windows Server options, though usually it's more expensive. I was using two actually, but I've decided to close one till there are more people. The latencies are too high right now.
