Better get the Ledger Nano S which is also a hardware wallet that can handle Bitcoin, Ethereum, Ethereum Classic, Litecoin, Dogecoin, Zcash, Dash and Stratis. Trezor handles only Bitcoin you cannot store other altcoins.
Thank you for sharing your experience. I'm just new in the cryptocurrency world. How exactly did you order yours if I may ask? Just on their website? And what about the warranty? Is there any? Does it also have the capability to store other altcoins such as IOTA, XEM, etc? Thank you in advance!
I just went to trezor.io and went through the regular order process on their website. I paid with bitcoin, and entered my address in the Philippines.
From what I've been able to find, the trezor has a 2 year consumer warranty.
https://shop.trezor.io/static/shared/warranty-refund-policy.pdfThe trezor stores several different coins; not only bitcoin. It stores: Bitcoin, Bitcoin-Cash, Litecoin, Dash, Zcash, Ethereum, Ethereum-Classic, and Ethereum ERC20 tokens. The Ethereum, Ethereum-Classic, and ERC20 support is through myetherwallet.com that has trezor support.
I hear NEM/XEM support is being worked on, but it's not available right now.
I don't have any experience with the Ledger Nano S. I looked into getting one but they were back-ordered too far out, and the shipping cost to the Philippines is really expensive.
I just checked again, and the Ledger Nano S is back-ordered almost a month, and the shipping to the Philippines is almost as much as the device. 58 EUR for the Nano S and 57.67 EUR for shipping (total 115.67 EUR).
Other than that, I have nothing against the Nano S. But I like the trezor better (just my preference).
