In case you're wondering what to expect if you order a Trezor hardware wallet in the Philippines, I just received one, sent to my PO Box.

So, at least for me, it took about 3 weeks with the standard $10 shipping option (registered mail), which is shipped from the Czech Republic.

The import duty was the standard P112.

It easily fits in the watch pocket in my jeans.

The display is crisp and clear, but very small and the addresses displayed are so tiny they can be hard to read.  Good thing my eyeglass prescription is up to date.

Note that they're backordered until August on trezor.io right now (though they have a few available at a higher price).  I may get a second so I'll have a spare, when they're back in stock.

It's pretty much the same situation wherever you are in the world.  They ship from the Czech Republic.  So it just depends on Customs.

It's been my experience that < $100 items shipped via regular postal mail usually get through for the standard P112 fee (which isn't bad).

But if you order by DHL or courier, you may pay a heavy customs fee for the same thing.

If somebody wanted to make a bulk purchase (1000's) they could resell them here and make it easier and quicker for people to get them, though.

The Trezor shop made some changes recently.  The trezors are priced in Euros now instead of USD, and they're accepting credit cards in addition to bitcoin.

Also, they're only shipping via DHL.  They removed the postal shipping option.

The trezor is 89 EUR and the DHL shipping is 26 EUR (total 115 EUR).

I just ordered a second one last week so I'd have a spare.  There's a 4 business day shipping delay currently.  I ordered it on August 7, they shipped it on August 10, and I received it on August 14.  So it took exactly one week from the time I ordered it until I received it.

It came via DHL in an express-envelope and DHL didn't charge me any customs duties.

I just found out about Trezor hard wallet, that it is the safest wallet to have and I'm considering getting one soon. Thanks for sharing your experience on having it shipped to the Philippines and the fees involved. Salamat.

Better get the Ledger Nano S which is also a hardware wallet that can handle Bitcoin, Ethereum, Ethereum Classic, Litecoin, Dogecoin, Zcash, Dash and Stratis. Trezor handles only Bitcoin you cannot store other altcoins.

Thank you for sharing your experience. I'm just new in the cryptocurrency world. How exactly did you order yours if I may ask? Just on their website? And what about the warranty? Is there any? Does it also have the capability to store other altcoins such as IOTA, XEM, etc? Thank you in advance!

I just went to trezor.io and went through the regular order process on their website.  I paid with bitcoin, and entered my address in the Philippines.

From what I've been able to find, the trezor has a 2 year consumer warranty.

https://shop.trezor.io/static/shared/warranty-refund-policy.pdf

The trezor stores several different coins;  not only bitcoin.  It stores:  Bitcoin, Bitcoin-Cash, Litecoin, Dash, Zcash, Ethereum, Ethereum-Classic, and Ethereum ERC20 tokens.  The Ethereum, Ethereum-Classic, and ERC20 support is through myetherwallet.com that has trezor support.

I hear NEM/XEM support is being worked on, but it's not available right now.

I don't have any experience with the Ledger Nano S.  I looked into getting one but they were back-ordered too far out, and the shipping cost to the Philippines is really expensive.

I just checked again, and the Ledger Nano S is back-ordered almost a month, and the shipping to the Philippines is almost as much as the device.  58 EUR for the Nano S and 57.67 EUR for shipping (total 115.67 EUR).

Other than that, I have nothing against the Nano S.  But I like the trezor better (just my preference).
