But I get NOTHING on the monitor. And additionally, I see a SOLID RED CPU LED light on the motherboard when I start it. The display remains absolutely blank. It says no signal. I have tried 2 other monitors and they also got no signal. Things I have tried :: 1) Tried different monitors - didn't work. I don't even see any start up bios things. 2) Tried reseating all the components - still won't work. 3) Tried flashing my BIOS to make my motherboard recognize the FX 8350. The flashback doesn't work. 4) Tried resetting the CMOS - Didn't help. Possible fixes I am thinking of doing :: 1) Trying a different Power Supply. 2) Trying the GPU on another setup to see if it works fine. 3) Checking the RAM on another system. 4) RMAing the mobo (might be Dead on Arrival) PLEASE help me. I spent a lot of money on this system and now it won't boot.

It could be that the BIOS/UEFI needs to be updated in order to support your 8350. Any possible way to obtain a different, supported CPU and flashing it with that?

Yes I will be trying that too. I tried the Asus flashback thing but it didn't work for me. So, might try doing it with Sempron inserted and trying to boot it.

Try the RAM module in each slot available, starting with the left slot (closest to the CPU). Double check that the 8-Pin CPU power connector is plugged in (top of the blue heatsink on the left). Remove the GPU and see if you are able to hit the num lock key on the keyboard after some seconds, the light on the keyboard should alternate between on and off.

A recent photo of your hardware setup would be helpfull. 1) Try to take everything out of the motherboard. With the main AC cord out, put only the PSU connectors (both of them) to the mobo. 2) Now put the ram and check double to put it in the correct slot! 3) Give power to system with NO GPU connected. Listen how many beeps you here. Be advised from your user manual to check if only GPU is missing. 4) If it's ok, then switch off the psu and put only one GPU and put the psu connectors too. 5) Try to connect the monitor and cross your fingers! 6) If it's open and produce the bios image, ok 7) After that try to put the next GPU and do the same with the connections  Finish with all of them and keep you eye on temperature and fan's. Hope that helps a little |

I think it is ground problem
Usually mobos like asus has some safety features that won't let it start if there is some ground or metal sticking into something..
check for screws underneath the mobo...

I have a little speaker thing attached to where it shows in the manual image you posted, but it doesn't beep at all. Once I tried running the system without any GPU, and it beeped signalling a hardware was missing. BUt, now I have the GPU plugged in and connected but now the speaker thing doesn't beep at all. But the computer doesn't show anything either  I have only 1 GPU right now. Maybe that is DOA? Should I try using that GPU in another pc to see if it works? |

Yes it is in a Cooler Master HAF XM case. What should I look for? |

Double check the screws not to touch anything, check also the manual for right configuration too and ALL the PSU matters

so yeah... check the manual... that RED CPU LED means something in the manual... I cannot tell what coz each mobo is different... usually RED CPU LED means power... are you sure you put the 8pin/6pin from PSU to mobo? there is a psu-mobo (forgot its name lol) cable plus the 8/6 pin cable from psu to mobo... it's somewhere next to CPU... |

No it was my first time starting the system. It hasn't booted once. I will check for the grounding issue. |

Okay, I will read the manual for the mobo to see what that light means. Yes I have connected both the 8pin connector and the 24 pin connector to the mobo. I kinda have a feeling that it is the GPU problem because many people have had bad GPUs delivered to them from newegg and amazon. Especially the 7950s. |

If you have another GPU any type, put it to the slot to see if the screen opens. If not its mobo configuration.
If it's open then maybe the GPU needs configuration.

I don't know what kind of GPUs this mobo supports. I couldn't find the list of compatible GPUs. |

Yes I have done almost all of those steps except a few. Which I will be finally doing tomorrow before taking professional help. Here is a the manual for my mobo. It says the CPU LED light means that there is something wrong with the CPU (it means processor right? and not the mobo itself?)
