You should check out anything that doesn't in Top100 in Coinmarketcap if you want at least 100x. Top100 list has coins over 25 million dollar marketcap. If you pick the right one in the 101-200 list you become a millionaire next year. It's %80 detailed investigation and %20 luck. Even great idea projects have hard times collecting money sometimes.

Yes there are hardware wallets that you can store up 3-5 coins at the same time which means you can hold off without minding on how you gonna store those coins. If you are somehow active on trading coins then storing it on hardware might quiet hassle instead better store some small amounts on exchange wallets and remember not to store up large amounts since the risk on losing it is always there. If you are longing for HODL then hardware wallet is the best choice.

Maybe need some days or one weeks to see it good or not, but if want invest long-term 1-3 years, spent more time to find the reason need invest this coin not bad choice

Need have target before invest, use feeling just make you have more misstake in future

You realize he's looking for a coin that 100-1000x... On the case he is successful you realize how much of a pain it'll be to withdraw from Poloniex? I'd rather have 10 wallets than leave them in exchanges.

You can withdraw, just takes time. Not everything has great potential. You need to research and see what is in play and actively promoted.

I think it would be better to look for coins not yet listed on Bittrex. Getting listed there might be the first step to achieve a 100x return.

Absolutely hold these tokens in your own wallet.  Do not leave them on exchanges for long periods of time.  It will be a pain managing wallets, but it's what must be done.

So, you can have those same search results on the desktop of your computer and available without even opening a browser.  I keep a couple different sets of data that way. I do not use a Google doc, I seem to remember that the data importing was very hard to manage or not there at all.

You need to search total marketcap. The price of the coin is not important. Ripple is already one of the coins which have the biggest marketcap. Of course this does not mean Ripple can not go further. But this coin is not the one you are looking for.
For example Safe exchange coin SAFEX or SEC could be a good investment for long term. the price is about 150 satoshi (0.0033$). Total marketcap is about 7 million. And really very very big potential for the future, look at their slack. You will see their project and potential.
