Is this just a pump or does this rather old token suddenly have a purpose?

The main idea behind it is you use your CPU to help fold proteins for research on behalf of... Harvard was it? I don't exactly remember but it was a novel concept. Now the price has jumped 100% in like 30 hours.

So what's up with that?

I honestly am in the same boat as you, I have no idea why some of these coins jump so high so quick. Another good example is one called triggers, it jumped 400% from yesterday to today. Talk about pump!

If I had to guess though, I would imagine it is some sort of pump and dump as those gains are not sustainable.

Is that the one that was an attempt to get into the @home genre?  If so, there were some people that wanted a coin that mined with a visible screen saver type animation, like the seti at home and others.

Not sure what came of the thing or if it ended up meeting the standards, although when we check the eobot site we still see folding at home on there, if that is the same thing.

It's guess its one of those pump and dump thing in trading. I bought some yesterday and made a few profits after holding it for a few minutes. I tried to buy again and all of a sudden it went down and my jaw dropped in disbelief that It went down drastically. Sold it a low price and just picked another coin with potential to recover my loss with FLDC.

Anybody else having deposit problems and lack of communication from support regarding FLDC?

Rat bastards moved my coins and for some reason they can't credit my account. No response from Polo.

Same issue with Poloniex here. Deposit was made 24 hours ago. Looking at some other threads, it's taking weeks for some tickets to be answered.

Terrible support for such a large exchange.

Yeah I know they already got rid of their trollbox supposed to "add to support." I think they all just kinda stand around, staring at the wall now. Because they're certainly not performing customer support.

I deposited 144,000 FLDC to Poloniex 1 month ago and still not showing in my account and no response yet to my 30 day old ticket. They are the absolute worst. I feel the next MT. Gox or Cryptsy happening soon.

That's the problem with the quick rises like that. Usually there's an even quicker fall coming right around the corner. When I see a coin jumping up in price like that, I tend to avoid it. Sometimes the crash happens quicker than you can even place a sell order

Amazingly they finally showed up today, i am selling them AFAP, and never sending a single coin to poloniex again.
