For those interested, requirements: blockchain expert and Solidity programming experience. Basically that means ethereum experience.

I wonder how much they'll have to pay to attract real talent. I expect it'll be a lot...

Another post about Eth with shill accounts follow

"We're seeking a strong developer experienced with Ethereum and blockchain architecture to be a part of
team tasked with building distributed application. Our ideal candidate has built and released distributed
applications, has worked with the Ripple, R3, Ethereum and/or Bitcoin"

big whoop. VISA is too late to the game. all the rest of the world have been working on building their own version of blockchain based on the existing cryptocurrencies and now they come in and don't want to fall behind.

in a couple of years all these monetary systems will have a version of blockchain closed sourced and private in order to make all their businesses faster and more secure.

I wouldn't generalize too much, there are enough honest developers who would jump on an opportunity like this.
VISA isn't going to settle for just any random developer and they'll make it worth his while, you can be sure of that.

Besides, the pool of people with blockchain expertise is getting larger and larger.

There was rumors that some key developers from Ethereum are thinking to leave the project. Sell all of your ETH, before it collapse  Grin

I also now that Ethereum as a developers is truly decentralized team and Vitalic sometimes even do not know about new members of his team. They functionality is based on the same model as blokchain.
It is decentralised and worldwide.

There is no something like HR department in ETH   Smiley

It is indeed more intresting to work there as dev. Because of innovative structure.

VISA will not offer something better. Its an oldschool monarchy system corp. with all that cripy hierarchy of managers..well I know one person who is familiar with that type of system. Charlie Lee after living Coinbase must need to join VISA. Go Charlie, its your new opportunity.

That is a good signal. I know there is a ICO project named TenX that focus on the credit card payment that based on blockchain technology. Maybe the VISA noticed this competitor.

Does this suggest VISA is very interested in crypto-currency now. i just have a bad feeling, the moment universally well established institutions and enterprises enter into altcoin they are going to change the game to suit them. Remember cryptocurrencies are already minimizing their functions
