One thing i am not able to understand since long time so i asked here.
Can ether wallet store other coin as well how is this possible.
I see many new coins send tokens but ask for your ether address.Can some one please explain in a bit details about it and how this can be used.

These tokens are based on Ethereum-Blockchain and that's why you could store them in Ether address. Bitcoin for example have a few tokens like Tether.to (USDT), MaidSafeCoins etc. The reason why Ether have so many coins is simply because It was created for that purpose and It has smart contracts that could automate things.

Ethereum based tokens, aka issued on the ethereum blockchain, can be stored in the same address as your ether. For example, i hold both ether and BAT in my ether address. Which is pretty cool.

ETH is not the only blockchain to be able to do that, though as posters have said, more accurately that tokens are issued on the blockchains, not cryptocurrencies. You can see in my signature, one project that will do it this way, on the Bitcoin blockchain.
